I doubt it. He is not a very good fielder at 3B, and the Cards have enough 1B and DH candidates.

I would take Tong (BTV +25.8) for Contreras (-14.1) and Nootbaar (+11.9) in a second, but the Mets would never do that.

Sometimes I have to take BTV with a grain of salt. In the case of Contreras I have to dismiss it altogether. I had a thread recently about whether his contract was really underwater. I compared his production to Josh Naylor who had just signed a contract for an AAV ever so slightly higher than Contreras. WC and JN were almost identical in every meaningful offensive category. Contreras plays better defense. While older, his contract is also shorter. BTV has a value of -2.8 for Josh Naylor and -14.9 for Contreras. With the Naylor signing being a fresh, market value signing (most believe he could have gotten more, but wanted to come back to Seattle), I take that to be the true market value for that level of production at that position, and would value Willson more closely to Naylor's value.

That said, if the Mets truly do have interest in both Nootbaar and Contreras, you should be able to send them along with 10M for a prospect like Carson Benge (would make Craviduce and I both very happy). Benge is the #21 prospect in baseball and should start the year at AAA. He seems likely to be ready for MLB before the season is over.
