Army is at it again...
Bringing back washed up vets in an attempt to win a few more games instead of promoting prospects, letting the slide continue and securing a higher draft pick.
You don't throw in the towel in mid December when you're two points out of a playoff spot. The Blues earned 12 points in their last 10 game segment. Each segment has been better than the last. Army is trying to fill in with these stopgap measures while guys are injured. People hoping to tank should know there is no way Army is doing that this early. If they lose a bunch more and get too far behind, he'll sell off like he did a couple years ago.
The fact is we have no hope of making the playoffs...but we are never going to fall too far behind because of the parity that exists in the league. Only a small handful of teams are separating themselves. Therefore, Army will NEVER do what he needs to do to improve the team to the level of the Capitals, Avalanche, Dallas, or Vegas. Army did NOT sell off a couple years ago; if he did Buch, Binnington, Schenn, and others would not still be on this team.
So enjoy the continued mediocrity...you fools get what you demand in the end.

It's hilarious...we win a couple games out of luck or because the goalie stood on his head, while being badly outshot, and everyone suddenly thinks we are good enough to get in the playoffs, only have to have reality bite them in the butt a few days later.

Go root for a different team, then.
So only fans that have a certain opinion are allowed?

But the Blues aren’t tanking. If they were, sure I agree.
What's worse...tanking while trying to get into the playoffs or tanking on purpose?
Who's next up....Jim Campbell?
Tanking on purpose
Easy to say when it's not your money. In my opinion spending to the cap limit with a plan to compete in the playoffs only to get a lottery pick is worse. On top of that if they do plan to tank they need to talk everybody into waiving a no movement clause... Good luck with that.

Have some integrity and show your disillusionment by using your time doing something else. You are wasting time complaining about the GM every day.

Looks like I can bust out my Winter Classic Fabbri jersey, I took credit for him ruining his knees a few short weeks after the 2016 Winter Classic because I bought that jersey. My bad everyone!

I really just don't think that would be a problem at all to be honest, I think the bigger problem is whether teams really want the extra year on guys like Faulk and Schenn, At least the teams I think would value them the most as rentals probably don't want the extra year unless we retain I guess.

Montgomery on if Fabbri starts in bottom six: "I would think he would start there, and if he shows he has the ability to move up the lineup, then maybe he will."
I personally am rooting for him. I imagine his ability to overcome the challenges he's had have given him wisdom and maturity. I believe he's grateful for the opportunity. I hope he catches fire like Cam Fowler did last year. The upside is that he helps us short term and creates an opportunity for him. We loved him when he blossomed as a Blue and then had two terrible knee injuries.

Yada, yada, yada. there goes ol' Glowstick again. Ya just want to snap him and see if the light goes on.
I think it's kind of hilarious that people see us signing 2025 Robby Fabbri in mid-December as worthy of complaining and an indication that the Blues are still trying to go for it and not that they just need bodies at this point.
