Re: GDT: Bruins at Blose 7:00 FanDuel
Our coaches over play the older players to the point they have nothing left late in the game. This has happened all season and I guess they don’t have any interest in trying a new approach. At what point will they decide to play the young guys, since the vets can’t get it done. What do you have to lose? Lose by 5 goals instead of 4?

Tonight really exposed how soft this Blues team is. It was tough to watch. Army has slowly but surely “retooled” into a very soft team.tubastarr wrote: ↑09 Dec 2025 21:44 pmFowler is also -2 and just had the weak play on the boards for a giveaway and empty net goal. Faulk was standing with his head up his rear with two uncovered Bruins in front of our net on the Bruins 3rd goal. This was a team loss. Also concerned when Bjugsted was taken out with a dirty hit and the Blues did…..nothing. This team has weak sticks and is soft.

Was just talking about this with my son. They really are a soft team. Big guys are soft, and the guys that have the grit are middleweights or lightweights. NOBODY on our team could deal with a Jeannot or Kastelic and that’s pretty sad. And it happens with a lot of teams we play. And not just talking about fighting. Just big, hard-nosed guys on offense or defense.stlblue06 wrote: ↑09 Dec 2025 22:36 pmTonight really exposed how soft this Blues team is. It was tough to watch. I agree they are soft, but jeannot is a freak of man. Guys around the league stay away from him because you lose the physical. I know a guy who fought him in Junior who said he was the strongest he ever facedTruBlueFan_1970 wrote: ↑09 Dec 2025 22:42 pmWas just talking about this with my son. They really are a soft team. Dec. 4, 2025 (@ Bos): Boston - 5, St. Louis - 2

On the bright side, Blues won't have to face the Bruins again until the Stanley Cup Finals.

Re: GDT: Bruins at Blose 7:00 FanDuel
The game showed some promise early but then the play just devolved into what has become the norm for them. All teams have injuries and until recently the Blues had less than most. They just make so many basic mistakes in all 3 zones it's hard to imagine that we have experienced players and good (not great) prospects. I wonder how good the coaching is based on the mistakes.
They look like a team that will win 50% of their games at best- which is of course what they are.
Would love to know what Steen's plan is going forward. This year is most likely toast.

Then you go after Pasternak...this team has no balls, no heart, no soul. Softest and weakest Blues team in their history.theograce wrote: ↑09 Dec 2025 22:55 pmI agree they are soft, but jeannot is a freak of man. Re: GDT: Bruins at Blose 7:00 FanDuel
+1 I like how Bjugstad has played, but when we signed him I thought "great another lightweight." Sure, he's tall, and he does throw his body around more than I thought and based on preseason, but one of our biggest problems is size to match gumption, all through our lineup. Buch doesn't want to be that guy, he wants to be a RW scorer, and is rather light himself, so they throw Neighbours out there to do the dirty work, which he does well, until it's heavy work and he's on the ice like TJ Oshie. Do we not remember Neighbours being targeted by every team until injured last season? Thank goodness they've at least got Mailloux out there now, with some self-reported snarl to his game. Maybe he can help Tucker and Faulk with taking on anyone over 6ft tall.stlblue06 wrote: ↑09 Dec 2025 22:36 pmTonight really exposed how soft this Blues team is. It was tough to watch. All that said, I thought the team looked pretty good last night.
Re: GDT: Bruins at Blose 7:00 FanDuel
Blues don't have any small guys except McGing, but they have 6'0 200 lb guys trying to offset heavyweights, Neighbours and Tucker and Faulk included. The guys who are bigger, except for Mailloux, are lanky guys who look bigger than they play in terms of toughness.
Re: GDT: Bruins at Blose 7:00 FanDuel
I have no idea why he's bounced around so much, but Zadorov was +3 with an assist in 24min last night for the Bruins, and he looked good doing it. He's been available so many times, sure would've liked the Blues to acquire him. I guess we had Mikkola during some of that span, and we do have some trees coming in the pipelines...but man could we use him on this team now. A lot of people on here said he's a pylon or bad on D, but what I witnessed last night was not that. Perhaps he's grown. Or maybe he's only that good against the Blues?DawgDad wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 17:48 pm Blues don't have any small guys except McGing, but they have 6'0 200 lb guys trying to offset heavyweights, Neighbours and Tucker and Faulk included.
