Check out Texier winning SO goal vs Leafs
Dam,...... Silky Smooth
Re: Check out Texier winning SO goal vs Leafs
Good thing we got rid of him. Last thing we need on this team is goal scores trying to steal the goalers shine.

Boldy and Tex combine for at least 3 against us Sunday

That'll definitely be on his top 10 career highlight reel.. . . .Assuming they can find another 9.

Texier was a turd. Don’t try to polish it

All he needed was to play one more game and he would have tied other Blues greats Dennis Cyr and Libor Zabransky in games played.
One more goal and he would have tied the household names of Terry Gray and Gord Brooks in goals scored. Army wrongfully deprived Texier of his place in the Blues history books!

No animus towards Texier at all. I'm sincerely happy the guy has an opportunity and is making an appreciable & appreciated difference. That is a very talented & creative move. But there is a LESS THAN 0.10 PERCENT chance that a move, shot, goal like that would happen when/where our Blues team needs it most right now in a game...during fast, tough, with defender action in front of a crease, while crashing the net.
Thanks for posting. It was fun to see that move. But now looking forward to more Blues play tonight that I saw last night.

One of the most frustrating players in the NHL. No one is smoother and silkier.
He can induce the occasional gasp as he seems to pour himself down the ice with a red hot puck. Then he casually douses it into the back of the net.
Being the only man from your country in the entire NHL is weird. I reckon.

Columbus fans were 100% spot on when they were talking about these glimpses of high end play that were inconsistent and constantly leaves you wanting more.
He's a better fit for Montreal. He's the type of player that needs to play in a top 6 role and they can plug him in whenever there's an injury to their top 6 or scratch/demote him when healthy.
I'm sure he'll get the anti-Blues click warriors to scream their rhetoric when he scores 4 goals in a 2 game span before being banished to the minors and ending up in Europe.

When we first got him from Columbus, I checked out some highlights and he has a beautiful s/o goal. I thought that maybe we got a guy that could really help the Blues. But I don't know if we ever used him in a shootout or in O/T. Maybe it was simply a matter of finding the right role for him. Oh well.

I don’t think they ever gave him a real chance here. Seemed he was constantly in the doghouse and never got a good stretch of games to find a rhythm.Frank Underwood wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 17:13 pm When we first got him from Columbus, I checked out some highlights and he has a beautiful s/o goal. Like you said, oh well

I wonder if he feels more comfortable being in a french speaking city. Just because it might be a small thing for other players doesn't mean it not a big thing for him. A random thought I had this morning.

I think that makes sense.....as well as being on a team that is more offensive in nature.
Re: Check out Texier winning SO goal vs Leafs
I still believe Texier will have a just fine NHL career and will get more playing time moving forward. He is too skilled and good along the boards to be not be a consistent NHLer. He won't dominate physically but there are much worse players in the NHL with far less skill.
Re: Check out Texier winning SO goal vs Leafs
Just think, Blues played Montreal on the road without Bolduc, Texier, Kyrou, Walker, Toropchenko, and Snuggerud, WITH Mailloux in the lineup, Binnington in goal, prissy Broberg in the lineup, and STILL won!
