Jason Crowe at Mizzou Arena
Halftime, Principia 46 Inglewood 30. Crowe has 20 of their 30. He hasn’t shot well, but you do see glimpses of what he can do. His dad is coach. You can tell everything is centered around him. Ball is in his hands probably 75% of their time.
Trying to think of a comparison. This is probably not fair, but the one I keep thinking of is Anthony Peeler. Crowe isn’t as athletic but he’s crafty, good ball handler, seems to be able to pass well. Beautiful left handed shot. It’ll be interesting to see how his athleticism translates at the highest level. Principia is obviously centering their defensive strategy on slowing him down and it’s actually working.
Speaking of Principia, holy smoke they’re good. Deeper, bigger, and frankly better coached than Inglewood. And I don’t know if we recruited Coleman, but hate seeing him go to Wake Forest. He’s a stud.

Principia wins 85-69. Crowe with 41. Not a good shooting percentage, was forcing the action. But definitely has potential to be a big time scorer at Mizzou. Almost automatic at the free throw line and great looking shot. Principia was just smothering on defense.
Principia. Wow they’re going to roll in Class 3. Coleman is their best player, but hardly the only stud. And they’re kind of young. Gates was there watching so hopefully he’s got his eye on a few of these guys.

Sometimes you have to force the action when your team is trailing and other options aren't really options.Armchair QB wrote: ↑06 Dec 2025 22:16 pm Principia wins 85-69. Crowe with 41. Just realized Toni Bryant and Aiden Chronister played each other in the Norm Stewart Classic before Crowe’s game. Not sure how I missed that.
Going to stream / watch that tonight. I think Chronister had 25.

Re: Jason Crowe at Mizzou Arena
Just watched Bryant and Chronister play each other. Bryant had a double double 11 pts 11 rebounds. Nice touch, might be a pretty good shooter but he’s thin, not very physical and not a very good motor. Almost like he avoided the ball. He might have a lot of talent I’m not seeing, but I’m not sure why he’s so highly rated. Not sure I see him stepping in and helping as a freshman unless his motor and aggressiveness improve a ton. He needs to bulk up a lot too. Of course he got 11 and 11 and it didn’t look like he was really trying so maybe that speaks to his talent level.
Chronister on the other hand is a gamer. 6-12 from 3. Had 25 of his team’s 52 points. Good passer and ball handler for his height. High IQ. Great motor. Not super athletic, but his aggressiveness and instincts make up for it. 6’7” so good height. And he can flat shoot it. Mizzou fans are going to love him.
I see Chronister and Crowe starting from day 1 and helping us tremendously next year. Bryant, I don’t know yet.

My two favorite teams (Mizzou and Michigan State) have the #1 and #2 ranked classes coming in next year. Sadly, after back to back losses (Notre Dame and Kansas) I’m already focused on next year.

From what I have seen of Bryant, he reminds me of Trevon Brazile when he came to Missouri. A lot of athleticiam but not a lot of basketball skills.Armchair QB wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 20:03 pm Just watched Bryant and Chronister play each other. Bryant had a double double 11 pts 11 rebounds. Yeah even getting Stone back, hard to see this year being special. That said we could be better later. We played such a terrible schedule early my theory is we’re going to take awhile to toughen up.
Next year has a lot of promise.

Brazile turned out to be a turncoat and kind of an idiot, but as a player if Bryant develops like Brazile I’d take it in a heartbeat.HoopsGuruII wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 09:14 amFrom what I have seen of Bryant, he reminds me of Trevon Brazile when he came to Missouri. I said that I wouldn't do this, but I couldn't control myself.

Thanks for sharing, good video. Kind of gives you a feel for just how hard Crowe had to work for every one his 41 points.TheMajicMan wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 13:27 pm I said that I wouldn't do this, but I couldn't control myself.

I’m trying to think of Missouri teams I’ve seen over the years better than Principia. I can’t think of many. A few Vashon teams, especially that 2002 team that dismantled Desmet by like 50 in the title game. Some mid 90’s Ritter teams were really talented. Pembroke Hill with the Rush brothers comes to mind. I’m sure there are others better. But Principia looks REALLY good. They’ve got a program going now.

Puxico in the early 1950s would have been ranked number 1 in the nation.Armchair QB wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 21:30 pmThanks for sharing, good video. You really are the Hoops Guru. I had to look them up and that’s just unbelievable. Yeah the 1951 team would definitely qualify as the best team in Missouri history. 5 D1 players. 2 college all Americans and pros.
Everyone should research and read about them. Might be a better Hollywood movie than Hoosiers. What a story.
Re: Jason Crowe at Mizzou Arena
excellent OP and the type of discussion we all really enjoy. No name calling and simply stated opinions on the players. TY
Chronister looks like the type wing/4 that you need who can fill it up from 3 and really play aggressively on both ends of the floor.
