OT: All 12 teams selected for CFP...

Post by JackBolly »

get $4M for selection, and since ALL belong to a conf will share with their members. ND shares with no one since they are 'independent' (wink, wink) Pretty certain the ACC is happy MIA is in. Glad ND are out, finally. Sure the AP is upset.

So Mizzou will get over $1 million? I’m reading that right? Since we have 5 teams in.

I don't know if it's equal shares but yes MU will get a sizable payout as all members will.

The conference typically gets an equal share of bowl money.

The College Football Playoff (CFP) payouts for the 2025-2026 season include:

Each conference receives $4 million for each team that makes the playoffs, with additional payouts for reaching the quarterfinals and semifinals.

The four highest-ranked conference champions will earn a guaranteed $8 million for their conferences, regardless of whether they win their first-round game.

Each individual school in the playoff receives $3 million per round to cover expenses.

The total payouts for conferences can reach up to $116 million, depending on the performance of their teams.
