Basketball non conference scheduling

Post by Armchair QB »

Minnesota was a decent opponent. I liked going on the road 1st game to Howard, nothing wrong with that. But honestly we should have traded 3-4 cupcakes for real games, top competition, and took some lumps early. You don’t learn a thing against completely overmatched teams except that you’d be a pretty good mid major team yourself.

So we finally play some real games and Gates still doesn’t know who he can count on and our players are getting punched in the mouth and don’t know how to handle it.

Please schedule some real games early next year.

LSU (8-0) playing Texas Tech (6-2) and TT is blitzing LSU by more than 20 points at the half.

And LSU has played…. Nobody so far this year. 4-5 BC is their toughest game so far and it was close.

I don’t get playing such a weak early schedule. In college basketball it doesn’t help you in the least. It forces you to be awesome in conference.
