These guys are so bad. They look like someone stole their only basketball. They must have practiced like it, too. Why is it so hard to hire a basketball coach? Being tall is not, in itself, a means to an end. Leading college basketball in unguarded 3 shooters is not good, either.

This is one game, early in the season, and we have an exceptional recruiting class coming in next year. If, and that’s a big if, he can develop them, we could have a great season. Let’s see what we can do for the rest of the year. Kansas is an extremely good team and they’re always motivated to beat us. If Gates leaves we lose this amazing class coming in. If we can get to 500 in the SEC, which would be tough, it will be a very good accomplishment.

I just mentioned last years recruiting class, all misses. If he didn’t have NIL who would come here? Used car salesman who can’t coach.Mizzoufan443 wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 14:04 pm This is one game, early in the season, and we have an exceptional recruiting class coming in next year. That puts Gates on the hot seat next season unless this season does a 180 real quick.Mizzoufan443 wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 14:04 pm This is one game, early in the season, and we have an exceptional recruiting class coming in next year. Yes, we must stay positive.Mizzoufan443 wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 14:04 pm This is one game, early in the season, and we have an exceptional recruiting class coming in next year. The SEC teams this year isn't as good as last year.
Gates needs to help young players like Boateng, TO and Burns to improve as the season goes on!
Also let's hope Robinson gets out of his funk and start contributing.
I wonder when Pierce comes back?
A player like Stone can be a spark like Bates was last year.
Lot of games to still play.

Just a suggestion.
Get yourself signed up on one of those sports betting apps and when MU is on the road you can make a small fortune betting on their opponents to cover.

Save the travel expenses to STL for Braggin' Rights. It will be ugly!

I had thought coming into the season Robinson would be a pro, but honestly he’s maybe regressed a bit from last year. I’d love to see him play better but then stay at Mizzou, really work in the off season, and come back a pro next season. Mix him in with all the other talent we should have and next year could be special.straight out of st louis robert ave wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 14:12 pmYes, we must stay positive.Mizzoufan443 wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 14:04 pm This is one game, early in the season, and we have an exceptional recruiting class coming in next year. This year is going to be what it is. Doesn’t look special but we could be decent because the SEC is down like you said.

The Braggin Rights game will be like "the Miracle On Ice Game" where Mizzou will be playing the Russians.
Underwood just recruited and paid a bunch of Russian players with fake birth certificates and passports.
Such is the reality of College Basketball.
Underwood says" Forget recruiting US HS kids! I will just get me some older Russian players (Age 25 -30) and get them some fake IDs.

I didn't think kU was anything special especially without Peterson. We were just horrible! Can't play D for 30 seconds. Nearly every kU possession ended with an open 3 or a bunny. We couldn't hit the ocean from the shore.

Re: Missouri vs Kansas BB (GDT)
We can pick on strings, criticize individual players, etc. The bottom line, the reality, is that this collection of players we're watching just isn't talented enough for this level of competition. Maybe, and it's a big maybe, if Stone and Pierce and Burns are all healthy, they would be better. But there is no guarantee of that. What we are looking at, again, is at best, I think, another Gates team that could be almost very good. We aren't seeing anything that even hints at exceptional.
