Mailloux returns

Post by dhsux »

I've been impressed with the progress I have seen since Logan came back up with the Blues. While he has not stood on his head he's made some nice plays and decisions moving the puck and defending the blue line, imo. He's been quite consistent. I definitely see his offensive abilities as well and I like how he doesn't mess around with the puck either.

No doubt this is a big game for him to come back to Montreal and I hope he steps on the ice and plays a solid game for the Blues.

I hope you didn’t jinx him with this nice thread :).

I could see tonight’s game goin either of 3 ways…

1. The dreaded sheeet game from overthinking and lettin the pressure get to him.

2. Playing very well and bein physical and continuing to progress

Or 3. Just a ho hum game where he’s not really noticeable, in a bad or good way.

Hoping for 2 obviously, but 3 wouldn’t surprise me much. As long as he continues to learn and get better, then its all wavy gravy. He’s still only played what, 23 NHL games so far? So continued patience is the key. I do hope he starts showing more offense as the games rack up tho, which I think he will.

I've stopped worrying about him. He seems focused on playing defense and he seems to be settling in.

His season is akin to breaking a wild stallion. Worse than useless early, reliably serviceable upon his return.

I agree he is starting to settle. Playing with Fowler has definitely steadied his game. He just regresses with tucker or kessel. Some nice plays last night including that third periid hard shot with the big rebound off ulmark's left pad. Would be great to see him pot one at centre bell tonite!

It was sweet. I wouldn't bet against them.

It was crazy last night flipping back and forth between the Blues and two football games. Wound up primarily watching the Blues.

agreed. has played very well since his return. skates well, good outlet passes, board battles are good, seems to get his shot thru to the net for the most part.. this will get even better with time

I thought this montreal team was supposed to be something special? getting beat by the bottom feeder Blues after fleecing them for their All Stars Bolduc and Texier? What the heck is going on here.

And imagine that, silence lately from the goober ASOGG regarding the trade he proclaimed was the worst trade in Blues history!

Not an ounce of dignity or honesty.

Not a bad night.

I was hoping for an assist as well……

I didn’t think he looked very good against Nashville, although nobody did. But he looked more confident last night and it showed in his play. Wouldn’t mind seeing him drop the gloves again soon.
