How do we start over?

Post by a smell of green grass »

When Army hired Montgomery, he did so because he said that he didn't want to leave the club in worse shape than when he started.

The team is now worse than at any point in memory, so Army is DEFINITELY leaving the team worse than when he started.

So now the question is.... How do we start over?

We need an experienced GM to dig us out of this hole, not a rookie trained by the guy that dug the hole.

Both Army and Steen need to go-- along with the scouts in the engine room.

I/m really questioning whether our drafter in chief is worth a (bleep) or is just a thief in the night. It seems as if none of our picks are ever hitting and none of our prospects are going to ever play in the NHL Even our super prospect number 10 pick looks like he may need 3 or 4 years to be an average player. The future looks pretty scary as of now.

Consider Bolduc. He was our best by most yardsticks. When traded away, the sentiment among fans is that he was JAG.
Our best is JAG.

Yeah.... but you thought he was an all-star... or was that a shallow ploy, like your vow to rid the forum of your shadow?

This team needs compete!
This team needs confidence!

If they could find those things, they would be alright, or better.

Trade overpaid players that happen to have no movement clauses - every gm around the league is salivating

No player on this team has a NMC.

Army already told us what the situation is...

"We value our players more than other teams (value them)...."

And he said this March 2025, before the team cratered, and before Kryou's NTC kicked in.

I'd consider that the GM understatement of the year.
