Faulk trade idea

Post by Nublues69 »

What if we traded faulk then used the assests combined with some of our assests to go after rasmuss anderson and resign him to shore up right side

Rasmus wants to go to Vegas. Don't see him signing in St.Louis.

I would have traded Faulk for a warm body these past 2 seasons but now, unless you're getting a haul in return, might as well hold onto him as he's been, by far, the best and most productive dman on the team this season.

Honestly let kessel play there is no way we will make playoffs if we can trade faulk with retention and get a first then do it. We need to get as many picks as possible so we can start using the draft capitol to either draft or get younger nhl ready players.

Faulk is still a good top pairing or excellent second paring defenseman with a year on his contract. He should have good trade value.

I would like to see Faulk traded to Detroit. Detroit seems to want Faulk. They have decent assets to trade, and a mid round first this year. I feel like a top 5 pick and a mid pick would be a nice return for this season.

Faulk should return a 1st and a decent prospect. RHD are in high demand

Faulk isn’t bringing back a first unless it’s from a desperate contender

if we retain or take a bad 1 year contract back he most defiantly will he is a competent 2nd pairing and would be great third pairing.

come on now. He wouldnt command anything more.

I don't think it will be difficult to find a stupid/desperate GM at the TDL.

Last year was Brad Treliving: He gave away a 1st rounder and F. Minten to Boston for a #4/#5 RHD in B. Carlo.
The Bruins now have their 3C for the next several years and a 1st rounder to boot.

Treliving also gave away a 1st rounder to Philly for what he thought was going to be the Leafs answer at 3C in S. Laughton.
Unfortunately, Scotty has produced like a 4th liner and already looks washed up.
Tre should have just kept Minten and his 1st rounders.
Those 2 trades last year have left the Leafs with very few assets to move this coming March.

Army must trade Faulk if he returns a 1st even if it's in 2027 which is supposedly a better class than 26.

Teams that need a 2nd pair RHD upgrade:
Carolina, Dallas, Vegas, Anaheim, Ottawa, & Tampa.
Do you think the Avs will go into the playoffs with a 41 year old as their 2RHD?

Once R. Andersson is finally traded it should open up the bidding on Faulk.

Sell high Army.
Remember 3 years ago when a few of us were pushing to trade Saad when he still could have fetched at least a 2nd rounder.
How did that turn out?
I don't want to even bring up Buch.

Asset management is key when you refuse to burn it down.
If you have a bad team, you must trade older players that still have some trade value.
There's a fine line (time frame) between having trade value to then being a negative asset.
Hopefully Army didn't miss the boat and still has an opportunity to cash in on Schenn as well.

Broberg is much younger, taller, better skater. Stay with Faulk. We have a younger RHD in Mailloux whom has good chance of getting better plus other prospect D-men. It may take a couple of years for all of that, but ride Faulk in the interim. And if this guy is interested in Vegas, they'll make it work as the Cap goes up, plus the other LTIR stuff.
Edmonton wishes they still had Broberg...and Holloway.
