I thought about posting this last week, but I assumed most didn't care about this kind of stuff and just rather come on just to complain about Gates. Nice positive video. I'm just going to say it....Crowe's game is similar to Sean East. Bryant will be a better version of Mark Mitchell and Chronister will be a better version of Crews. All in time!

Looking forward to watching Crowe this weekend. I have high hopes for him. East was a nice player here, but I hope Crowe is a lot better. If the other 2 are better than Mitchell and Crews and Crowe is who I think he is, that class is going to be fun.

Sloppy, poor fundamentals, lack of a cohesive defense, and incoherent substitution pattern and the inability to pull out of a spiral, be it in a game or in the midst of a long losing streak.

500 team maybe. Can't rebound, haven't played defense in 4 years. One of the worst free throw shooting teams in the nation. Just not much there on the SEC level. Maybe win 6 sec games .

Someone please talk to this man about coaching. He gets outcoached in nearly every close game. Dies he even have any set plays for critical moments? Why go zone in the finals 2 possessions and give up open 3’s? How about any decent inbounds plays?

Sorry Rantz for screwing up your post, but there's a few idiots on here that have always attacked me here and on the Rant. Gates gets personally attacked all the time and they make excuses for a football coach who has thrown his OC under the bus and can't coach PERIOD and beat a real team since he's been here. Then he got an extention and raise right after losing to Oklahoma. Gates and Kirby Moore need to get the heck out of here! Even after me saying all this I'm still a big Mizzou fan and want to see them win in all sports.

knew this would happen after SEMO. terrible, terrible, terrible beginning of year planning & coaching. dennis needs to be a recruitment tool only & give up the hc spot. cant keep losing to "princeton basketball" & "jackson state" & "drake" & "ND basketball"

I would find it interesting if people embrace Drink while strongly disliking Gates. They are, in essence, the same coach. But what’s also interesting is people who love Gates and hate Drink, that’s also somewhat of a head scratcher. Gates has shown a bunch of challenges and his teams show pretty consistent flaws with rebounding, in-game adjustments, defense and offensive execution.

This year’s recruiting class looks like it could be Mizzou’s best ever (next to Stipanovich and Sunvold). This Crowe guy looks like he can fix Mizzou’s offensive woes all by himself, and take on two or three guys at any time. As Larry Bird said, unlike football, basketball is a player’s game. These guys can make Mizzou a great team, and the role of coach will be to get out of the way as much as possible.
