One of my work friends is a big Kings fan. He said the biggest issue with Akil Thomas has been staying healthy.

Yes. 2 hours drive MAX from Springfield to Boston. With two days off and the Blues arriving today, there is a lot of time to move parts. And the priority for the organization is first Blues then T-Birds. And the next two games in Ottawa and Montreal are relatively close if they want/need to do anything else after playing Bruins. As far as if it will be this new guy, or one of our existing AHL players, then I have no idea. But it seems that familiarity with the players would carry weight. We're talking about 3rd or 4th line, energy, checking, etc., while the others catch their breath.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:29 amWell the TBirds are saying Thomas will report to Springfield, so who knows. Obviously the Blues play in Mass. this Thursday so Akil could be available for the Blues Thrs then report to the AHL esp if Suter is readyHarry S Deals wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:25 amI would think you are correct Akil would be in a Blues uniform on Thrs not Springfield at least for the time being.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 09:54 am I expect to see Akil in the lineup Thursday. Alexandrov was their second leading scorer so to me it would seem that Akil is going to report here
Buch Thomas Kyrou
Neighbours Dvorsky Schenn
Holloway Bjugstad Joseph
Kaskimaki Akil Sundqvist
Well, many of the posters were clammoring for a "top 5" pick may as have get their wish this year
Once again, our "top" offensive players need to step it up. Coaches need to step it up.

I think this was a pretty good deal by Army. I still believe based on his style, he could become a serviceable bottom 6 NHL player. He plays at a different pace than Alexandrov, which I think could bode well for him here. I hope he’s in the lineup tomorrow night or at least this weekend.
Kings fans and some of their bloggers were disappointed in the Kings decision to move on from Thomas.

I have low expectations, but he brings some speed and physicality. Alexandrov just had no place on the Blues and brought nothing to the table, unless you just needed a body to fill in if the injury situation became extreme.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑03 Dec 2025 08:19 am I think this was a pretty good deal by Army.
