Thx grammar police. You do know Hoosiers was a movie, right?wiscrev wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 13:00 pmThey all worked their tail off. I'll take anyone who give 110% over floaters. Hilarious!wiscrev wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 09:33 am Only guy on the team that's reliable; he hustles and gives 120% and never takes a shift off. Too bad the rest of the team doesn't follow his example. As I said in another thread, "I'll take a team of Walkers, Cortenalls, Bassens, Prongers and McInnises." And as some one pointed out, don't forget the Sutters.
Paraphrasing from "Hoosiers," "When you give 100%, win or lose, you are, in my book, winners."

BTW, it's "you're."

I love his nonstop motor and willingness to battle, but he's our 4th line RW. If we can't replace that from our AHL team, we've got huge issues.

of course I know it, but even Kerbs mentioned the announcers curse the other night. Correlation or not, it gets willed into existence the majority of the time.netboy65 wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 12:54 pmYou know there no correlation right?TheJackBurton wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 12:50 pmIts basically like clockwork that's why as announcers you should never say that stuffoldbattler wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 11:58 am+1TheJackBurton wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:15 amWell its a good thing Kerbs and Vitale mentioned on Saturday night how healthy the blues have been so far this season.
It's the equivalent of saying right before a PP that a team hasn't scored in 15 opportunities or you have killed off 20 straight.
Might as well just put the goal on the board at that point.
Yep when they said that.
I said to myself that this saying may not age well.
It looks right now like it hasn,t![]()
I’ve also seen announcers say “He’s made 50 extra points in a row” as they line up and the guy puts #51 right through.

It is common, I’ll admit that but nothing more than coincidence

It is just coincidence, but don't even put it out in the ether, just let things be.
Re: Walker to IR
Does anyone have an idea of what his injury might be? I watched the game, and I just don't recall what or when it happened.
Concussions are usually indefinite, bone breaks are usually 4-6 weeks depending severity, soft-tissue recoveries are longer. It's interesting that they were so definitive on this long of a time.

I agree, I don’t remember anything. But with that timeframe, I’m thinking maybe a collarbone or something?Old_Goat wrote: ↑03 Dec 2025 08:30 am Does anyone have an idea of what his injury might be? I watched the game, and I just don't recall what or when it happened.

The way he throws his body into those hits I would also believe its a collarbone with that amount of time.Frank Underwood wrote: ↑03 Dec 2025 08:38 amI agree, I don’t remember anything. Wow. Losing a heart and soul guy like Walker is definately going to hurt. The man plays every game hard as nails. Jesus.

Walker was so far down on the list of players who were supposed to be the big contributors on this team. But yes, very much a heart and soul player. But I understand what you mean. Nathan Walker will never be thought of as the guy who put the Blues across the finish line. But he has definately earned his stripes. No offense, just sayin.'

It wasn’t a shot at you or Walker. They’re playing awful with everybody, they’ll still be bad without them.Blues Dave wrote: ↑04 Dec 2025 14:14 pmnetboy65 wrote: ↑03 Dec 2025 14:00 pmSo….they’re going to start playing bad now??Blues Dave wrote: ↑03 Dec 2025 13:43 pm Wow.
