Mizzou had only 7 first downs & 119 total yards for the game, but got TDs on a kickoff return, punt return, interception return & fumble return. Florida had 6 turnover in the game. Crazy game.

Please tell me that you actually didn't think the OP, Jack Trolly, was really looking for an answer.

The kid was throwing dimes in the first 5 games then all of a sudden he was mediocre at best. The rumors of his hand injury appear to be true and maybe it won't require surgery but Pribula can certainty throw the ball when healthy. Throw in an oline that can actually pass block and everyone will suddenly forget that he "sucks".
Yeah. When the Tigers get back to playing Central Arkansas, U Mass, and Louisiana, Pribula will look great!

Too bad the Tigers aren't in the Sunbelt conference.
You don't really watch the games do you?
Watched every game, panful as some of them were. Even though his long throws were always late or off target, Pribula did okay against weak defenses with little pass rush. Once he had to face down SEC defenses like Bama and Vandy, he crumbled, fumbled, and generally looked like the back-up QB, Penn State didn't mind losing.

I have nothing against Pribula. He's probably a good kid with high character. But he's not an SEC caliber starting QB.

Just a fact.
Basically you're saying that if we had an oline that could pass block we'd have been better, which I agree with. Second, I think it's pretty clear that Beau hand the hand injury that has been rumored. Had you ACTUALLY watched the games you would have seen how well Beau delivered the ball when is hand was good then all of a sudden he wasn't throwing the ball very well. Finally, the OC is dirt, when you're receivers are constantly covered like a blanket there is a problem with your ability to scheme. Kirby has to go and Drink has to get some serious Oline talent on the roster. If that happens, THEN you can blame Beau.
You sight rumors that conveniently suggest an injury that coincides with the Tigers stepping up in class, playing SEC defenses instead of blood donors (and they weren't even good punching bags--none had a winning record). But No one, not Pribula, Drink, or anyone connected to the team or in the media has reported anything about a hand injury.

Anyone with eyes should have seen that Pribula frequently overlooked open receivers, was consistently late on deep throws, had a habit of starring down receivers, and got jumpy when pressured.

There was no injury. But When the competition stiffed, Pribula was exposed for the run only OB Penn State said he was, and the Tigers passing game collapsed.
Cook had an injured hand last season but I don't recall anything anywhere about an injured throwing hand for Pribula.

What I did see was an inexperienced QB in the pocket passing game and an offensive line which was brutal at pass blocking and called protections.

Translation: The worst passing offense in SEC games.

You can't be a playoff team without balance and you can't be elite without good to great QB play.

Competition for the position should start now not after the bowl game.

Drinkwitz fired Wilks when the defense was awful and things have improved.

It's time to do the same with Moore.

It falks on the head coach regardless now fix it.
Agree. We need better coaches on offense, a better OL, and a better QB. Maybe that's Zollers, maybe not. Drink likes QBs who can run. I'm fine with that, but many teams have dual-threat QBs. There's no reason the Tigers shouldn't be able to find one.

Shut down corners especially in college are rare so rushing 5,6,7 guys is really the only way to affect the passing game on defense.

So you have to have a mobile QB who can extend plays.

Zollers has enough mobility for that and I would at least let him play a half of the bowl game.

For me the QB competition for 2026 started yesterday.

Drink has said Zollers is the future. He’s very talented and I don’t think the fire we threw him into when Pribula was hurt is indicative of how good he is.

That said, Zollers has to play and show he can do it. I think you play the QB you think will lead you next year in the bowl game. And have a short leash and play both if needed to move the ball. Don’t ram your head into a wall the entire game doing the same thing over and over and over like we sometimes do when we’re struggling.

When you recruit and are able to sign a guy as highly regarded as Zollers is you have to play him so you can coach him.

Let's face it between what he's being paid and time and effort and expense of getting him here why is a program doing all that if not to nurture a return on that investment?

Three weeks of reps and a bowl game is the perfect ti.e to get a head start on next year's QB competition.

I'll believe there's a real competition at QB when I see one with Drinkwitz. He has heaped praise on Pribula after the last 2 games.
