Interesting, but I guess since Walker is out 8 weeks that means we needed more speed and tenacity so this was a move to get more of that?

I imagine its more to givr springfield a better 2 way forward as kaskiamaki (and potentially somebody else) will be up here for an extended period of time.

Blues still need another body...Thomas is probably that body. I'd like to see Peterson up here

Maybe. Either Thomas reports to the Blues or he reports to Springfield and they’ll call up someone else.

Or Suter will be healthy by Thursday’s game and they won’t need another call-up.

Also probably a change of scenery situation for Alexandrov. He's a tweener and probably wanted to go to another team that might give him a look in the NHL.

I expect to see Akil in the lineup Thursday. Alexandrov was their second leading scorer so to me it would seem that Akil is going to report here

Alexandrov was very average for Springfield. He made a few decent plays and some bad ones. He was not on the NHL performance level, and I doubt we just acquired NHL player for AHL player. Probably a change of scenery trade for both

I would think you are correct Akil would be in a Blues uniform on Thrs not Springfield at least for the time being.

Buch Thomas Kyrou
Neighbours Dvorsky Schenn
Holloway Bjugstad Joseph
Kaskimaki Akil Sundqvist

Well, many of the posters were clammoring for a "top 5" pick may as have get their wish this year

Well the TBirds are saying Thomas will report to Springfield, so who knows. Obviously the Blues play in Mass. this Thursday so Akil could be available for the Blues Thrs then report to the AHL esp if Suter is ready

What? No love for Tucker trying out for the 4C?

I'd be fine if we landed Stenberg with a top-5 pick, whether that's our own or a trade.

I wouldn't add anyone to the lineup until we've seen other prospects, especially if injuries aren't long term like Suter. I think we'll ride this team until January before making any serious moves, unless of course a great deal presents itself.

Dvorsky had 19min last night. -2 but 64% on the draw with Schenn and (wow) Buch...

Our only pending UFAs are Sunny, Toro, and Joseph. 1-year remaining - Faulk, Suter, Bjugstad, Tucker, Binner, Hofer, and KRUG. These are some of the players I could reasonably see traded during the season. Let's say by combination of injury and pts% we are in position to sell, and these players are mostly not in the lineup. Could we roll something like this for a relatively extended period to end the season?

Neighbours-Thomas-Kyrou
Stenberg-Dvorsky-Kaskimaki
Holloway-Suter-Buch
Stancl-Peterson-Pekarcik/Robertsson/Thomas

Fowler-Parayko
Broberg-Mailloux
Lindstein-Skinner

Scouting reports say he's fast and a strong forechecker.

If Thomas does come right up, that really shows what they thought of Alexandrov as an NHLer.

I think it's pretty clear by now that they *didn't* think of Alexandrov as an NHLer.

They're both 2nd round picks that can produce at the AHL level and not at the NHL level. I'd be surprised if he plays for the Blues.
