Devon Williams to the Mets, 3 year deal

The Mets are in agreement with free agent closer Devin Williams on a three-year contract, reports Will Sammon of The Athletic. It guarantees more than $50MM, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. The former star Milwaukee reliever reunites with president of baseball operations David Stearns in Queens.

Realize too late to change the misspelling of Williams first name in the thread title ...
You did correctly have DEVIN in your text . Devon is a first name though just not his first name.

This is such a Mets deal.

Like...it could work. But that's a high risk to pay for someone who wasn't really good (also in New York) last year.

Gotta love the rich teams who can sign 10 of these guys and it not matter financially if they all fail.
