Idk, I've rarely seen a goalie pulled after 2 goals. Maybe he should've had both goals, but one was deflected and the other the guy just walked right in for a 1 on 1.
At first I was thinking they'd put Binny back in after a few minutes because, like you said, neither goal was that bad and maybe he just needed to reset. But Hof has already made an impact since he's been in so not sure you take him out.
And Binner is pouting in the clubhouse
Ah, well he can get undressed and go home then ✌️

Those were two soft (donkey) goals from guy with a sub .880 save pct then attitude to boot
Good - maybe that attitude will change him back to old Binner.

Not quite the Roy - Ronald Corey exchange and Monty is no Mario Tremblay. Good thing Armey sits in the pressbox and not the second row behind the bench.

Binnington is the most frustrating goaltender. You know what he’s capable of yet this is the 4th year in a row that he’s been mostly (bleep) in the first 2-3 months of the season. That’s not counting the season before where he lost his net to the guy playing his first game of the year from the minors!!

Monty’s goaltending decisions have been bad. Hofer with the SO vs Binner’s 3GA vs OTT….hmm

For what it's worth, the first goal while short side was a serious of unfortunate events. the 2nd he was way off his angle.

I don't mind if he's fired up, means he cares. We've had some goalies that seemingly didn't care (ryan miller, Jaro Halak, Jake Allen) when they got pulled. May just have been personality also. Anyways, if he wants to make that his Patrick Roy moment at least we waited 7 goals less?

Hopefully, but this team couldn't handle old Binner. They have few if any players like the Gloria 5; Schwartz, Bortz, Fabbri, Steen, and Ed. Not even worthy of old Binner.

Remember - Roy was getting lit up! And Tremblay was beyond a massive brown hole

Has Monty been hanging out with John Tortorella? Or perhaps Mike Keenan? 😉

Except for the first few minutes I thought it was a pretty boring period. For pulling the goaltender, it sure did not stimulate the offense. I think I would put Tucker on left wing and run 4 lines. Maybe it’s just my Monday mood but we need some more action around Husso

Blues had a very good period except for the two softies. Good Ozone time and danger shots.

This. Usually a team responds with the goalie getting pulled, and Anaheim did. So sad. This team has no backbone except for Walker, Binner and Schenn - all your normal heavyweights

I love Binny, but he was complete (donkey) in the first. That second one he looked completely unprepared for that shot. He never even went into the butterfly just threw his blocker out.

I get he's (upset), but get your (buzz) (donkey) out of the clubhouse and get on the bench when the 2nd period starts.

It's as much a middle finger to your teammates who constantly defend him as it is to Monty.
