Fox on LTIR for the Rags

Could they use Faulk, may get a first from them if they are in enough need.

So with nobody to replace him with, why would you trade Faulk for anything less?

I wouldn't trade Faulk anywhere until closer to the deadline if you are going to do it. The value now versus 3ish months from now makes it stupid unless you get a premium.

If the goal is to get max value then i think he has to get moved this deadline, short term rentals don't seem to be as coveted as they once were.

Say the season's over without saying the season's over.
They are two points out of a playoff spot after sucking most of the year. I don't see Faulk getting moved any time soon.

I not only don't see Faulk getting moved, he likely gets a 2-3 year extension.

He'll be 34 at the end of the season, is playing some of his best hockey since he's been here and if things progress as they (hopefully)should in the next 18 months or so he will move to the 3rd pairing and Mailloux should start getting time in the top 4. Again if they progress as they should hopefully.

of course all of that is based on them staying in the hunt. They go through what they did at the beginning of the season in say January, then yes he is very likely traded.

Quite frankly we could have a 3rd pairing of Fowler/Faulk in 2027/2028

So since you have Kessel, you're going to trade Faulk for LESS than a first?? Do you think Kessel is a long term replacement for Faulk?

Suter isn't coming back.
