If Moore is not coming back, Petrino would be fine at OC

If Moore is not coming back, Petrino would be fine at OC
Especially, for Zollers at QB.
Re: If Moore is not coming back, Petrino would be fine at OC
There seemed to be a lot of open Arkansas receivers in the Mizzou/Arky game.

There is zero chance Petrino ends up on this Mizzou coaching staff.

Abner, YOUR Hogs could not be much worse than 2-10 overall and 0-8 SEC.

If yesterday didn't show you why Petrino isn't the answer...
16 penalties & I don't know if that counted the ones we declined. Like Petrino, Arky had no discipline.

If Petrino came on as Missouri's OC. I would think penalties would be more of Drinkwitz's responsibility. Petrino's experience on offense would be an asset for Drinkwitz.skeezix wrote: ↑30 Nov 2025 16:33 pm+1,000%MizzouMarv wrote: ↑30 Nov 2025 16:26 pm If yesterday didn't show you why Petrino isn't the answer...

To be fair to Petrino the majority of the penalties and issues are on defense, which up until recent wasn’t his bag. The offense there generally hums. Our awesome defensive front had much to do with their offense looking out of sorts at times.
Re: If Moore is not coming back, Petrino would be fine at OC
After this last season, Drinkwitz needs to take another look at, someone who's been there, formulating productive SEC offensive game plans.
Re: If Moore is not coming back, Petrino would be fine at OC
WE NEED A OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR THAT HAS THE ABILITY TO ADJUST AS THE GAME GOES ON. IF YOU HAVE SEVEN DEFENSIVE PLAYERS ON THE LINE YOU THROW THE BALL. IF THERE IS FOUR DEFENSIVE PLAYERS ON THE LINE YOU RUN THE BALL. THE PLAN IS TO ATTACK THE OTHER TEAMS WEAKNESSES ON DEFENSE. THE OFFENSE PLAN OF ATTACK IS RUN PLAYS THAT OFFENSIVE PLAYERS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WIN THE GAME. KNOW YOUR PLAYERS SO YOU AS THE OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR CAN PUT THEM IN POSITION TO WIN.
Re: If Moore is not coming back, Petrino would be fine at OC
I WOULD HAVE FIRED MOORE AFTER HE CALLED A RUNNING PLAY FOR SAM HORN. HE REALLY HAS NOT PLAYED COMPETITIVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL THESE THREE YEARS BECAUSE OF INJURY. ( TOMMIE JOHN SURGERY PLAYING BASEBALL FOR MIZZOU IS A EXAMPLE) WHY AND WHAT FOR WHEN WE ARE TRYING TO THROW DOWNFIELD WITH PLAY ACTION. I THOUGHT THAT WAS WHY WE RECRUITED SAM HORN. THE RUNNING GAME IS ESTABLISHED. BUT WE STILL NEED A QUARTERBACK TO THROW THE BALL DOWNFIELD TO KEEP OPPOSING DEFENSES GUESSING WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO NEXT.

Drink preaches brotherhood and culture. Petrino does not represent what Drink says he values. It's just not a match.
