Hardy 21 yards short
Short of the regular season rushing title. Taken by Cam Cook at Jacksonville State. 1581 yds to 1560. Great season.

Re: Hardy 21 yards short
Question: if Hardy finishes at the top after bowl game does that count for anything or is it just regular season?
Re: Hardy 21 yards short
It counts that Hardy did it against the SEC and not whatever [shirt]ty conference Cook is in.Armchair QB wrote: ↑30 Nov 2025 10:18 am Question: if Hardy finishes at the top after bowl game does that count for anything or is it just regular season?
I don't know about anyone else but during the game they weren't reporting his yardage and I was thinking that he was nearing 200. Seemed like he was getting 8 - 10 yards nearly every carry and then busting one for 20+ every so often. When they finally did say that he was at 149 I was a little disappointed. Anyway, great season no matter what awards he gets or doesn't get.
Re: Hardy 21 yards short
I was tracking it during the GDT, but one of the other posters sent me and IM saying bowl yardage counts now and Jackson State (Cook) also have a Championship game, so in effect he will have 2 more games to Hardy’s one.

I actually discussed it face to face with several people.
But if IM and GDT are needed for social interactions, then you go ahead and live in that world.
Re: Hardy 21 yards short
Doesn't matter what someone does at G5. Power 4 is where it's at especially SEC. Hope all three come back as freshman was terrific in his times carrying the ball. IF hardy agrees to stay could see Roberts going somewhere to be primary back and get paid bigly for it.
IF MU had competent OC which they did not, would have loved to see Roberts and Hardy getting the ball more on wheel routes and releases from backfield and having nothing but secondary guys trying to tackle them with full head of steam. especially against Aggies, bama, OU and Vandy.
We can only hope someone hires Kirby to be there HC at G5 or OC somewhere, anywhere else. Or drink gets his head out of rectum and does what is obvious.

Drink got Hardy some more yards on our last series, but stopped so it wouldn't look like we were rubbing their noses in it since we play them every year. Might have put some "juice" into the rivalry, but would have been kinda classless.

So, do the Tigers have enough to keep him? It's reported the Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola is getting $3 million per season. I'd say Hardy can get $2 million easily. Will Mizzou pay up? I would. The kid is fire.

It would have been nice for the sake of bragging. However, we have a stable of great running backs right now, and they were all underclassman this year.

Agreed about the running backs. And Marquis Davis may be the best in the room. But in a little over a month (Jan 2) the portal opens. What are the intentions of our Mizzou runners?hockey jedi wrote: ↑30 Nov 2025 17:09 pm It would have been nice for the sake of bragging. You know, the kid has a 100 yard game and then sits on the bench. I guess they are preserving his redshirt? I would like to see lightning compliment thunder (Roberts and Hardy)edwin drood wrote: ↑30 Nov 2025 17:33 pmAgreed about the running backs. And Marquis Davis may be the best in the room. No, Arkansas penalties made it so Hardy couldn't take the lead on the last series.MizzouMarv wrote: ↑30 Nov 2025 16:42 pm Drink got Hardy some more yards on our last series, but stopped so it wouldn't look like we were rubbing their noses in it since we play them every year. As strange as it sounds in this college landscape his decision could hinge on more than the highest bidder.edwin drood wrote: ↑30 Nov 2025 17:09 pm So, do the Tigers have enough to keep him? His strength is obvious in the zone read which is the thing Kirby Moore and the offense does exceptionally well.
However I don't believe Moore will be here next season which could change the philosophy on offense because the passing game and creativity is sorely lacking and is tantamount to change in looking at the 2026 schedule.
If Moore is replaced does Hardy see less carries here and start looking elsewhere?

Re: Hardy 21 yards short
There was a personal foul on Ark. that made it impossible for Hardy to get the yards and that’s why Drink ended it, at least that’s what I figured—now edited post, woofy already pointed that out . . . Opportunities earlier in the game to get Hardy more touches but Roberts was running well.
