Don't know about that, but the Tigers had 33 yards passing when they lost 77-0 to Oklahoma in 1986.
25 yards passing in a game must be near an all-time low in MU football history.

Re: When did MU last...
A quick look seems show MU set a new FBS low this season for passing at 25 yds beating out Kent St at 27 yds. What a wonderful record for MU.doctor doctor wrote: ↑29 Nov 2025 18:17 pm Don't know about that, but the Tigers had 33 yards passing when they lost 77-0 to Oklahoma in 1986.

The coaching staff took advantage of a team strength, running, and beat a rival handily. What else do you want?
Re: When did MU last...
Ugh, a balanced attacking offense? MU should have scored +60 vs woeful Arky. But you keep drinking Drinks koolaid.edwin drood wrote: ↑29 Nov 2025 18:27 pm The coaching staff took advantage of a team strength, running, and beat a rival handily. What else do you want?

Re: When did MU last...
It was against the worst run defense in the SEC and it was not the sophisticated running attack, it was yards after contact as always

Hey guys, we have issues in the passing game. The line doesn’t pass block very well. Our QB’s haven’t had time to throw and on the rare occasion they do have time, they haven’t been very good getting the ball downfield.
Thankfully our run game is as good as the passing game has been bad. Despite our flaws we’re 8-4 and going to a pretty good bowl game. If we win we’ll probably finish the season ranked.
This isn’t pumping sunshine, these are just facts. Drink has things he has to address in the off season. But we could be really good next year if he’s able to make all the right moves.

have you seen next year's schedule? we could be considerable better and still win less games!Armchair QB wrote: ↑29 Nov 2025 20:37 pm Hey guys, we have issues in the passing game. I know I am the minority, but I agree with the game plan 100%. We tried to pass over and over in the first 1/3 of the game to no avail. Our first 4 passes resulted in 1 completion, 1 incompletion, 1 fumble for a TD, and one sack. I applaud Moore for giving up on the pass and pounding the rock as that was the only way we were winning today. If he would have keep trying to pass I would have questioned his intelligence. So hats off to Moore.
As far as the futility of the passing game, this is one Drink needs to get fixed as priority 1. We have a great WR corp but they will not stick around if we pass for 25yds a game and their top NFL highlight is how good they are at downfield blocking. Pribula is not a passer, so we need to get an elite QB from the portal while we develop Zollers for another year.

The play calling for this game was fine. But not having a viable passing offense is not fine. Pribula, I agree, is not the QB the Tigers need to reach the next level or not regress.rezero wrote: ↑29 Nov 2025 21:09 pm I know I am the minority, but I agree with the game plan 100%. Playing 4 games against this years CFP teams will be a Hoot! Probably need a passing game in those affairsTheMajicMan wrote: ↑29 Nov 2025 21:15 pm Here's Mizzou's conference schedule for 2026-29

Re: When did MU last...
Duke’s Mayo Bowl.
Texas Bowl.
Music City Bowl.
None of the above should be considered a pretty good bowl game.

Agree fully on both points.rezero wrote: ↑29 Nov 2025 21:09 pm I know I am the minority, but I agree with the game plan 100%. We tried to pass over and over in the first 1/3 of the game to no avail. I wish Moore had run more all season. More than wish.
But he ran this game this way because it was the only way to win it.
Perfect game for me....MIZ wins but the statement made this team needs to move past Pribula.

We played 4 should be playoff teams this year. Winning at Auburn was a bear this year (see last night’s iron bowl). SEC games are always hard.dugoutrex wrote: ↑29 Nov 2025 20:46 pmhave you seen next year's schedule? we could be considerable better and still win less games!Armchair QB wrote: ↑29 Nov 2025 20:37 pm Hey guys, we have issues in the passing game. Yeah it might be a tad more difficult overall next year, but it’s always going to be hard. That’s life in the SEC.
