Krug has negative value, the only way his LTIR has any value is if the other team is able to trade a healthy player with a terrible contract for him.

Some sites have him on it but some don't. Sportrac has him on the IL only. If you look at Vegas' page they have Petro on the LTIR accurately. I looked for an official transaction showing the move but can't find one. I don't believe the Blues have officially designated him to the ltir.

Just curious if anyone knows. Does Krug still stay in St Louis during the season ? Does he travel with the team or just come to home games ? Does he even come to practice, maybe he could watch the games from the press box and call down to Weber how the plays are going. Thanks in advance.

I would doubt he is involved with the team fully knowing his career is done.

The only benefit from LTIR is when a team can stash a player there during the season but then use them in the playoffs. Krug is done, so that’s irrelevant. Other than a team needing his contract to reach the cap floor, there is no point in acquiring him.

i dont think krug stays full time in stl. i think he still has his house because he helps out at practice every once in a while. He was on the golf spittin chiklits thing the other week. he very clearly is retired, looks like he can barely walk. was a bummer, they chirped him a few times saying the Blues cut him after beating him in the stanley cup. he had no reply and im sure that was beneath the belt as the blues have been first class with him

The physical is the buying team making sure they don't trade for someone who is injured. It's like a home inspection. When buying a house you don't have to have a home inspection. It's an something that you ask for when offering a contract.
