GDT: Sens at Blues 3:00 FanDuel

Post by hotrivets »

nhl.com takes a shot at predicting Monty's blenderized lineup. I don't think Monty even knows until gametime and then depending on how the first period goes he mixes them up anyway.

Pavel Buchnevich -- Robert Thomas -- Jordan Kyrou
Dylan Holloway -- Dalibor Dvorsky -- Jake Neighbours
Brayden Schenn -- Pius Suter -- Jimmy Snuggerud
Mathieu Joseph -- Oskar Sundqvist -- Nathan Walker

Philip Broberg -- Colton Parayko
Tyler Tucker -- Justin Faulk
Cam Fowler -- Logan Mailloux

Buch-Thomas-Kyrou is not sufficient talent. They have skills and can get hot but we're filling time til they're gone. Years ...

I actually thought Thomas and Kyrou looked better than they have in a while when they used this line last game vs NJ.

They're a decent trio if Buch gets off the 2 goal mark. Right now we're better served having speed and forechecking on the other side probably.

I'm still just waiting for this team to take the transition game and apply a crash-the-net mentality to it. We're buttoning up every single time, and while that works about 1 in 5 or 1 in 6 times, i think we're probably far more deadily and efficient if we go direct in and have the 2nd and 3rd guy coming in hot right behind the first guy (who then loops back and becomes the first forward back). I think we easily average 3 goals a game instead of 2 on that alone, and probably have 3-4 more shots on goal minimum.

And while i love Oskar Sundqvist's heart, his legs aren't here anymore, we're doing ourselves a disservice by playing him. Bjugstad may occasionally have a bad turnover or two but he is able to get back and is able to be more physical. He also can shoot the puck reasonably well and is a netfront presence if you shift him up a line or two coming off the powerplay.

Agree. Don’t like them together and don’t like Buch off of the 3 rd line. At least Monty split up Tucker and Mailloux

Buch on the first line. Can't make that (bleep) up.

Hey Buch has 3 whole goals now! If that doesn’t earn you first line minutes then nothing will.

Mailloux doesn’t even appear he has any fundamental understanding of what he’s supposed to do defensively. How’s that even possible?
