No he’s not, but several players have either full NTC or modified ones, so they’re not going anywhere either

You are correct, but you change where you can. That's also why Army never passed out NMC's. Just like with Saad and now Texier management has options. Schenn will likely be ok with going to some teams for instance. This core group needs some change. This type of play has turned into a pattern. Terrible play then great play just to be relevant again. I do agree with the premise of this thread though. This team is historically bad in late game situations. Quit putting Schenn out there in OT and shootouts. If we are gonna lose then put the kids out instead. Let them learn. Just do something different. What do we have to lose.

These guys are professionals and we’re almost a quarter into the season, but I wonder if Game 7 is still lingering? Although they also had problems all last year before that.
Monty isn’t going anywhere but how about we boot Ott and Julien? I still have no idea what they’re bringing to the table.

I have no problem with that. Monty didn't pick any of these coaches so let him decide who comes back. I wish Ott the best and was hoping he might leave for a HC position somewhere. If he gets canned that hurts his chances though.

3 on 3 is gimmick hockey as we all know

But, it's the top players against top players. All of the other sets of top players have outplayed our top players in this situation. We are pointing at Buch, Kyrou, Thomas, Schenn. When it's OT I expect them to lose and I am pleasantly surprised if they possess the puck once.

Blues must be the leagues #1 team with 1 goal losses.

Anyway, very depressing loss. Again. And I do put a fair amount on Monty for not getting this OT thing fixed but I remain behind him as the teams HC.

Mailloux had another good game both ends. All the point shots I have seen him make last 2 games were on net and pretty wicked.

I agree, after Binny got us thru the first half. Plus, every player on our Blues team has been blamed by someone at some point for causing the problems. I care when we play better for sure. But if we don't get some wins out of it every once in a while, no matter how close it is, it's very hard to get enthused.

This team lacks heart…plain and simple. That is the #1 problem with this team. Beyond Schenn, who can suggest anyone on the team that is considered a LEADER. I can’t think of anyone.

Your best players aren’t always your leaders (though it helps)….but this team has no one. They have good players (Parayko, Faulk, Thomas, Kyrou….) but none of them are leaders.

The other issue is the overall quality of our 5th and 6th defenseman. I get that they are young and have to grow and get better but Tucker and Mailoux can’t play together which means you break up the other pairs….

Very frustrating. The Blues need a heart transplant. That is not a coach problem, it’s a player problem.
