I thought Libby showed flashes of being a really good starting pitcher last year before he hit a wall. He logged 150+ innings for the first time in his professional career which was great to see from a development/endurance standpoint. I would imagine he's getting after it this offseason knowing the opportunity he has coming up in '26; this could be a really big year for him and his overall trajectory.

I get the feeling he turned a corner this year. I know the numbers were nothing special but he kind of proved he at least belonged in MLB as a starting pitcher. What he proved to himself might end up being more valuable than his overall contribution to the team because he now has a solid foundation to build off of and it had to be a big confidence boost and a relief at the same time. I think he ends up being a really solid #3 type starter this year with maybe a little better ceiling because he’s still young.

I would agree with that in a good rotation he’s a 3 in a mediocre one he’s a 2 in a bad one he’s a 1. He sucks on the road he can’t pitch in the heat next season his ERA will probably be close to 5

I wish it had been one of those exceedingly rare occasions in which my analysis was not correct when I was the only person on the planet who predicted imminent stardom for Arozarena and urgently advised STL to not trade him.
But, as was inevitable, my analysis was absolutely spot on.
I suppose there is a chance that Liberatore could yet balance the scales, and we certainly hope that is the case next year.

Think about all the blunders Mo had via trades and free agency.
And he got paid handsomely for those decisions.
Just a complete cluster F the past few years.
Now the team is in such a dire condition, that it requires a complete rebuild.
Just goes to show the destruction one man can cause.

That would be four starters left handed. I like that. Although most hitters are right handed, power lefties have a place.

I know that to reach WS you need a good lefty or lefties. But is four extreme. Don’t recall a that heavy lefty staff.
