Gray trade add on

Mlb scroll said we are also getting a player to be named later, or cash from Sox. Sorry if this has been posted.

As long as it not Kash Patel, I’m good.

The infamous PTBNL Maybe the 'add on' will be determined by how well Sonny pitches this season or if he stays there 1 year vs. 2 years.

Yeah they never seem to release that info. Remember when we traded Dexter Fowler for PTBNL or $. Never heard what we got back.

I’m sure the Cardinals payment to the Red Sox will be in installments. If it’s cash considerations, it’ll simply be deducted from that amount.

The Cardinals will pay the payments throughout the year to Gray like Gray is on the payroll but for $20 million instead of the $35 million. The real question is what will we get back in the cash considerations or PTBNL.

Usually this is a 40 man issue.
Flexibility depending on the rest of the offseason.
