They signed a guy to a minor league contract every team does it including the dodgers. I don’t get why anyone would complain about a solid depth move
Why am I seeing Mets and Rangers making a trade. Every trade, position filled, deal is an opportunity lost. I could give 2 chits about POZO
Bloom……start dealing your Cards….or you’re going to be holding them…..just like our MO
There's been about two trades total of all the teams and you are (bleep) about it. Did you ever stop to think that this signing is a prelude to setting up another trade? No you didn't you are like the little kid at Thanksgiving (bleep) about opening his Christmas presents now.

Relax .. There are several teams wanting Donovan ... Most deals will come during the Winter Meeings starting in two weeks ! Let the teams bid higher and higher .. Patience is a virtue. Maybe something will happen prior but usually very few til the meetings start.

A couple weeks after the World Series and we already have the "Bloom is taking too long to make moves" post. It's part of why I love this message board.

Sounds like to me that Pages or Crooks has become expendable.

Yep. Why waste money on depth. Just go with a 9 man roster. 10 if you need a pinch runner.

Most of you guys are the same apologists that praised MO’s poor trades, deals, and most importantly…..INACTION

If he’s supposed to be dealing and has at least one of the hottest commodities on the market, then waiting for teams to fill whatever need they have is one less team in the market.

“Waiting for the market to establish itself” was one of the most asinine MO quote EVERY offseason….
Make the market….don’t wait for it to be made and half done

“It’s only a couple weeks after the WS”……Tell that to the Rangers and Mets

Yep 22 teams in on Donovan. Take the first offer. Sounds like a good business decision to me.

I wouldn't be opposed to trading some of the catching depth.
Correct.
Perfect time to trade Bernal.

Well you’re never going to be pleased with what anybody in charge of the cardinals ever so it’s not a surprise. I mean bloom just took over and you are already whining and complaining about him just for making a depth move and for not taking the first trade offer for Donovan so you
Will continue to cry no matter what

YES ! Pozo's new deal is a major league contract . The Post article posted just over half hour ago stated this :

By allowing Pozo to become a free agent, the Cardinals were able to restructure his contract and its structure in the minor leagues. Had he stayed on the roster, roster rules would have established what his contract looked like and his minor league salary as a player with major league service time. It's a two-way contract, and Pozo has options remaining, which means the Cardinals could use him at Class AAA Memphis.
