When you factor in the three-point HFA, the line is no different than yesterday, when Texas was -8.5 over the Hogs.

100%. One thing Petrino knows is how to run an offense.
Not sure Drinkwitz' ego would permit that or if the university would support him coming here with past baggage.
I’d take Petrino as OC in a heartbeat. That would be a home run. Baggage and all.
I would too.

I would give him the keys to the offense and learn from it for the future.

Petrino is making 1.6 million this season and Arkansas isn't going to keep him as head coach.

MU could easily surpass that and get modern with that side of the ball.

guess you weren't a math major :)

2.5 + 3 = 5.5 not 8.5

2.5 + 3 = 5.5 not 8.5
And 8.5 - 3 = 5.5

And 5.5 = 5.5

I could see that being a good move. He is an offensive mind.
I don’t think a really good OC will come unless he has autonomy. It doesn’t seem Moore has that…at least I hope he’s not that bad all by himself.
And a really good OC ain't coming here with Beau Pribula as QB. And you know he will be QB next year no matter what if Drinkwitz is here. Drinkwitz was raving about Pribula's guts postgame. Forget his failures throughout the game and putting up just 6 points. Guts is all that matters.
I heard him.....and yes...Drink and his loyalty we know it all to well. Maybe Beau will want to go back to Penn after the season?

I was thinking of driving down early Saturday morning, but forecast has changed my mind (47 for a high with showers). Fayetteville is the closest SEC venue to STL (20 miles closer than Vandy & 30 than Lexington). Have been to a game there. The one where Bielema was fired before we got back to our car. Was thinking that might happen again this year, but Arky pulled the plug on Pittman a few weeks ago.

I've heard from a reliable source that Missouri coaches will be unveiling a new element to the offense Saturday. It's called the forward pass.

Part of that executive BOC meeting has to do with going back to a checkerboard design for Faurot field.

And I guess you don't know ... about lines. On a neutral field, Tx is a 5.5 pt favorite, at Arky, 2.5, at home 8.5 Good home field advantages are "worth" 3 points. So in theory, Mizzou is a 3 point favorite at Arky, 6 point favorite on a neutral field, 9 at home.

Reports are flying that Arky has hired Alex Golesh of USF as HC.

And Bobby Petrino has sent a farewell letter to Arky fans. So he's definitely not in the running for HC there. That makes him available to be OC for Drinkwitz, if Missouri dares to hire him with his Harley/blonde baggage. BTW, what's the difference between a Hoover and a Harley?

You can fit 2 dirtbags on a Harley.

Petrino has been in charge for nine straight losses. That's not a good way to audition for a permanent hire, assuming he had any support to begin with.

I’m in the Petrino for OC camp, but acknowledge hes no boyscout. We’d be hiring him to help us become an offensive powerhouse and not team chaplain.

He’s certainly capable of turning the offense around in 1 season. He knows offense. He’s coached some outstanding QB’s too.

Another thing about Petrino, he’s going to be 65 years old. No idea how long he wants to coach, but just from a 30,000 ft view, an OC position at Mizzou for 5-10 years could help him finish his career on an extremely high note and who knows, maybe an older coach like him would stay put where a young up and comer might leave after 2 successful years.

All this is just bluster until we find out what Drink’s plans are.

Petrino wouldn't even have to be here more than a few years.

Younger coaches on the staff on that side of the ball could easily be taken under his wing and learn and if he were to leave prematurely at least a blueprint would be available.

I believe this meeting has exactly this to do with and must be addressed by the head coach.

At some point you have to adapt and surround yourself with coaches who can challenge you on terms of knowledge and experience. That time is now.
