So we overpaid Brother berg by a lot just like Armstrong publicly stated. Yes. That seems to upset people lol

Who is upset over that? This is common knowledge. At the time Broberg had limited NHL experience and was not worth the 4.6 as a FA but this was an offer sheet. Are you using that as a reason his next contract should be lower?

Re: Holloway
Yeah, technically for what he had shown to that point the current contract hadn't justified it but he is playing the kind of minutes that his current contract is fine. They also got a PPG performance on a pretty cheap Holloway deal last year, I don't think either signing was a mistake on money given what we've seen during the bridge years.
Re: Holloway
Lots of people denied it being true and got upset. Look at the Broberg thread.stlblue06 wrote: ↑23 Nov 2025 11:43 amWho is upset over that? This is common knowledge. No, but Armstrong probably looks at it as we did you a favor and elevated your situation/career so he probably expects some sort of give back (not necessarily money) during negotiations.
Re: Holloway
If you want examples of contract mistakes, the Broberg and Holloway contracts would be examples of the exact opposite that.seattleblue wrote: ↑23 Nov 2025 11:47 am Yeah, technically for what he had shown to that point the current contract hadn't justified it but he is playing the kind of minutes that his current contract is fine. Re: Holloway
You would think Bro/Holloway are very grateful for what Army helped do for their careers and overpaying at the time. That should help in the contract negotiations….not expecting some crazy team friendly deals bc of it but it should help.theograce wrote: ↑23 Nov 2025 11:48 amLots of people denied it being true and got upset. Four for two years. That would be my offer. Until Holloway shows us something, I just can’t see committing dollars or term to him.StLouis-4Life2 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 16:12 pm What type of bridge deal do you think he gets? Last year I think we were expecting a long term contract but he clearly is still coming back from injury but shows flashes of his ability from last year. I don't think you can justify the numbers he would want for a long term deal and I think he would prefer a bridge and bet on himself to maximize the next contract...2yr 10 or 11?

Right on.HighStick wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 17:44 pm If Holloway stays off his game all season long that could save the Blues millions no matter what deal he signs. If he was gonna have an off year this is the best time to do it. He's good tho..... He's just a victim of this heartless core right now. Hés gonna get paid.
Additionally, for what it is worth, I do not believe the injury he had last year is really affecting his play. He is still going skating hard, not shying from the boards or hits. It's just not clicking. I've never liked the constant linemate switches.

He’s 3 points from being the top point guyMandatoryDenial wrote: ↑23 Nov 2025 16:24 pmFour for two years. That would be my offer. He calls me a “gay loser”…and then says it’s unfortunate that “I took it that way.” I mean there’s so many ways people can interpret that.

There was a coward named Bleedr who could not stand by a most public and grandiose promise to stop posting here, “For the good of the board”.
Do you know him/they/them?

I do t know what you’re talking about, but stopping your essays cold turkey about the warrior Buchnevich is pretty cowardly. I can see why you identified with the word.Harry York 37 wrote: ↑23 Nov 2025 17:03 pmtheograce wrote: ↑23 Nov 2025 11:37 amseattleblue wrote: ↑23 Nov 2025 10:19 amlast weekend the moderator of this site stated to me personally that 'gray boy' was not one.

And since he continues to lie daily as to his very identity as he crawled back here after being banned....can't count the times.
Yet.... he's all about pointing fingers of character everywhere regarding players, managers and posters.
It's laughable. Oh, wait....I forgot.....it's "LOL".
Re: Holloway
This moron expects people to read his tripe and just take it. 24/7 tripe. I've noticed the weekends are his wheelhouse. Countless. Over and over.
Now the big come back is....if you dare say anything counter....you are " thinking about him"
hahahaha
I'm pretty sure his mother did not do enough of that as this poor little child was growing up.
"For The BETTER Good of the Board"....you had it right then little one.
hahaha

Re: Holloway
Your buddy calls me a gay loser and you think I, and an entire group of people should be mocked on a hockey forum. It’s justified. You jump on top. Not a single comment to him.dhsux wrote: ↑23 Nov 2025 17:49 pm This moron expects people to read his tripe and just take it. 24/7 tripe. I've noticed the weekends are his wheelhouse. Countless. Re: Holloway
I'd sign him long term before Broberg...I see him getting over the 7mill range...just depends if he wants to go UFA in 2029 or have contract security into his 30s. 3yr/22m is probably what he signs.
