Former AL QB in booth said throw needed to be towards pylon - made for a much harder catch on Coleman.

slow moving white boy QB for OU running rings around the defense
Re: GDT: Tigers @ Sooners -- 11 -- ABC
This. The question is if Drink is too meek to actually fire someone he brought on. It is obvious the issue and I am sure Drink knows it, but may not have the muchachos to correct the problem.11WSChamps wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 14:17 pmDrink is owed 29M if fired so that's not happening.
The answer is hire an OC with complete autonomy and buy the best QB available in the portal.
It's not rocket science.

He’s to blame for bringing in Pribula and not developing a back up for Cook. He can’t beat good teams. If you are satisfied, good for you.bgwinn01 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 14:16 pmClearly not the answer. We better hope Zollers can be the guy going forward. Such a shame to have wasted a really good defense this year. And the stupid anti-Drink sentiment on this board is laughable. Unless you want to blame him for paying the wrong quarterback from the portal. Otherwise, S[top] T[hose] F[raudulent] U[tterances]. There’s not a coach in the land that would beat Oklahoma with no quarterback.

MU is about to be 0-4 this season v ranked teams. That is a coaching failure.

agree, he needs to throw to the open spot and let the receiver run to it. He is aiming at where the receiver is at.
If you watch Indiana's QB, that is exactly what he does. He throws to the open spot and reveivers run to catch up

Never said I was satisfied. But Drink is not the problem. No quarterback and terrible special teams is the problem. Injuries impacted both issues. Horn would have been the quarterback and Craig being out all year.

The ole throw it where he’s going not where he’s been.mdkieffer wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 14:29 pmagree, he needs to throw to the open spot and let the receiver run to it. He is aiming at where the receiver is at.

TBH, as much as he has been banging the drum recently about needing more revenue, my guess is a couple of those potential investors are going to point to his offense and say they will contribute NIL money when it isn’t wasted on a JV offensive playbook.rezero wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 14:25 pmThis. Drink IS the problem. There’s no excuse to bring in a QB like Pribula, and who knows what we had in Horn, Drink never gave him a chance, just like all the backups. He’s the boss, it’s on him. No back up kicker that’s worth a (bleep), whose fault is that? Injuries are part of the game, excuses are easy, winning is hard.bgwinn01 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 14:30 pmLightning Rod wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 14:26 pmHe’s to blame for bringing in Pribula and not developing a back up for Cook. Re: GDT: Tigers @ Sooners -- 11 -- ABC
There isn't much doubt that ou has an elite defense but with decent special teams and a little better offense this game was winnable. Kind of a fitting end.
Re: GDT: Tigers @ Sooners -- 11 -- ABC
Drink needs to play Zollars in the last game and tell him next year is his.
Re: GDT: Tigers @ Sooners -- 11 -- ABC
Not overly impressed wot OU's offense. Better than last year because of Mateer, but not better than average for CFP.
