Re: Mailloux Recalled
Agreed. This call up to me is an acknowledgment that we’re probably playing for the future now. But if they catch fire, which this team is known to do, who knows. Nothing to lose now

Re: Mailloux Recalled
I agree with both of you. Play him, let him learn, and hopefully be a much better player next season as a result. Let’s not jerk him back and forth between here and Springfield. The fact that the team is so bad, and Kessel and Tucker are so bad, should hopefully take the pressure off of him. But let’s find out this season whether he can play at this level or not and not still be screwing around with it next season.

Re: Mailloux Recalled
I would have waited until they added an NHL LHD. Tucker has been nearly as bad as Mailloux and Kessel’s ceiling is the AHL. They desperately need a legit bottom pairing dman or they are going to keep coughing up big goals against at the worst times.

I haven't really followed how his games have gone in Springfield. Any information on how he played?

Agreed…pretty sure there is one coming via trade. I see Fowler as Mailloux’s future Partner.2forDiving wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 09:47 am I would have waited until they added an NHL LHD. I said earlier that Mailloux would be recalled over Army's dead reputation. I didn't think that this recall would happen so soon--if ever.
Now that the fateful recall is here, when is the visitation and funeral service for Army's reputation?

Re: Mailloux Recalled
I see now EXACTLY WHY Mailloux was recalled..
It's because the Bolduc accolades are going to start firing again.
The latest...
Bolduc is tougher than Arber Xhekaj. That is saying something, Sports fans.

Re: Mailloux Recalled
They are trying to start him like a pull chain on a cold engine. He sucked in Springfield but slightly less, and he looked a little more comfortable even if it was still bad. That little personal internal comfort he gained is the heat in the pull chain and it's not going to work, because it's so cold. But hey, it's occurring.
Re: Mailloux Recalled
Mailloux played 5 games. He was only 2 g 0 assists (disturbing) , and a -2 plus minus
I thought he was described as an active defenseman with a great shot who could be on out power play. I was hoping to see he’d “eat it up” in the AHL when sent down. No one to pass to who can score crown there? Sounds familiar at the NHL level.
I think last year we complained the shooters were shooting directly at the goalie, giving him easy saves. This season we go to one period without shots on goal. Sounds like the problem with the players philosophy or the coaching they follow the coach even.

Yeah, not sure about this move. I would've like him to stay in Springfield for a substantial amount of time.
Looks like he's not in the lineup today anyway.

Re: Mailloux Recalled
If anything I think thy have proven this to be a fact. I hope they let Mailloux learn and grow. They need to see what he can become, and that will take a few months of actually playing him in NHL games.2forDiving wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 09:47 am I would have waited until they added an NHL LHD. I read earlier that you would rid this forum of your shadow if the Blues made the playoffs.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 10:44 am I said earlier that Mailloux would be recalled over Army's dead reputation. I didn't think that this recall would happen so soon--if ever.

Show some goddanged humility.

His photo on the T Birds' Team page looks like a lost kid.seattleblue wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 10:55 am They are trying to start him like a pull chain on a cold engine.
