I don’t think it’s effort with him…….its like he had a lobotomy in the offseason. He never stuck me as a particularly smart player, but now he’s gone to a whole new level.

Frank, I’m pretty sure he had the lobotomy before Game 7 in Winnipeg last season. I literally screamed at the TV when he iced the puck when he could have taken 2-3 more strides and easily got to the red line. Nobody was even close to him when he iced it.

I’m still p i zz ed at him over that one.

Couldn’t agree more. High school players don’t even do that. Just ridiculous and you knew at the time it was going to burn us.

That play collectively broke him and us lol. It is going to go down in Blues lore as much as Gretzky turning over the puck to Stevie Y.

He played great as did Schenn. Tucker could have passed to him and it would have been an easy goal.
He will break out.

At some point he has to come around. Hopefully the coach tries other guys in OT.

It could just be a confidence thing, but something about his posture seems off. Wonder if he has an injury that is bothering him? Looks like it takes him more effort to skate than those around him.

If hes injured or has something going on he is hurting the team by being in the lineup.

Don't know if it factored in, but at least in OT it looked like there was an order to take more shots. Which means take more chances. I'm not defending or complaining, JMO.
