At age 39 in 1955, Enos Slaughter batted .322 over ten games with the Yankees and 108 with the Athletics. His average as a right fielder was .302. Used as pinch hitter 59 times, he batted .390 with an On Base Percentage of .492 in that role. He returned to the Yankees in August 1956 and appeared in the 1956, 1957, and 1958 World Series for them, batting .350 over 15 games in those three series.
Enos Slaughter was a lifetime .300 hitter and is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
