Talk about selling low.
Love this move for the Angels. Not many times I have said that.

This is how bad organizations stay bad and is an example of what kind of moves the anti-rebuild crowd want to make.

It was rumored that the Angels wanted to move either Ward or Adell. Both are right handed hitting outfielders with power and produce runs! Is that not something that the Cardinals desperately need? I don’t know that the Cardinals had what the Angels wanted, Gray probably makes too much money, but Ward is exactly the type of hitter the Cardinals need. He’s scheduled he earn a little over 13 mil. In 2026. For 30 plus homers and 100+ RBIs, that’s a deal! Ward will never earn much over 25 mil, due to his low batting average, would be my guess, so YES, this anti- rebuild poster would liked to have gotten Ward. However, as I said, the Cardinals may not have matched up well with LAA.
