Slow start for SEC basketball

Post by rezero »

Looking at the standings and noticed SEC is 1-8 verse the AP top 25. Some of the games have been close like Auburn losing by 1 top the top seeded Houston. The way-to-early Bracketology has 11 teams from SEC but 7 of those are seeded in the 7-11 range. Have a couple big conference verse conference matchups upcoming so need to turn things around.

Does anyone know when Pierce and Boateng might be available? And what about Trent Burns? Is he destined to be another of those great talents that Mizzou signs and we never or almost never see on the court?

Another game tonight. I guess we’ll see. I’ve adopted the policy that whoever is on the court is who we’ll see.

Would be great to see everyone healthy. Would love to see the best version of our team heading into KU / Illini games and the conference season. ND on the road wont be a picnic.

Just saw that Pierce, Boateng, and Burns are out again.

Burns is probably legit injury related. Starting to wonder if Pierce and Boateng might be grade related or something related to team policy that they aren’t quite in the fold with. Both have “warmed up” and “practiced” for weeks so it probably isn’t an injury. That’s encouraging if that’s the case just from a performance standpoint. They might step right in and help if they ever get back into it. No idea what the truth is though and what’s missing for them.

Last year the SEC won most of these games they’re losing this year.

If this trend continues 11 would be very generous.
