Blues need an offensive coach
We have a defensive coach, a power play coach, a penalty killing coach and a goalie coach. Like Berube, Monty seems think forechecking is the main offensive strategy. One of the things I liked about Brian Sutter as coach was that despite preaching smash mouth hockey, he allowed Hull to float and as a result he had breakaways in just about every game. He was lethal on them. That’s why he scored 70 goals in a season. Monty is trying to create offense by making Kyrou play harder defense. I’m for whatever works but I don’t see a plan when we take the puck into the OZone. Kyrou loves to rush in alone then panics and turns the puck over. Maybe that’s why he favors Buch. He plays a close defense but his offense is gone. We need an offensive coach. Sutter was also drilling players on the transition game. Monty can’t make two way superstars out of everyone.

I think a lot of you overrate Buchneviches defensive abilities.
