Re: Schenn
Schenn and Buchnevich appear to be the couple of players that are consistently buying in to the coach's system. That's why they've been given so much leeway in the top 6.
Unfortunately, they're completely ineffective offensively at this point.
That's the conundrum the coach is in the middle of: do you sacrifice offense to enforce further buy-in OR do you sacrifice team wide buy-in in search of better offense?
To me, there's too many core players in this locker room that struggle with adversity. Its time to rebalance the roster in a meaningful way. Unfortunately, I think that means guys like Kyrou, Buchnevich and even Thomas need to be reconsidered as assets in the next "window".

Re: Schenn
I hope so.
With all the Injuries to MTL (Dach, Laine, Guhle, etc) I could see them be interested in Schenn and still Kryou. What could we get in return?
Levi wants out of Buffalo maybe we try to get him and Tage as i hear they are shopping him.

Re: Schenn
Buffalo would be no doubt on Schenns no trade list and no way Kyrou agrees to go to Buffalo. Its so early and teams will have to absorb so much salary its going to be awhile i would assume before anything happens. I could Schenn in Toronto but what are they willing to give up? I would think Army would want a near NHL ready prospect and their 1st round pick but they dont have a 1st till '28 so thats not a good fitZizzle1297 wrote: ↑17 Nov 2025 14:43 pm

Give me a break. If Schenn would of accepted a lower role. There's no way he would have more time with our top two players then our top center.2forDiving wrote: ↑17 Nov 2025 11:44 amWhere’s this start? There has never been anyone that has even remotely hinted that there is any jealousy or envy or refusal on Schenn’s part to play whatever role.Cahokanut wrote: ↑17 Nov 2025 09:38 am I think Schenn has been Army's loyal dog and when theres a problem with army, management, or in the room. I think he is the guy who takes it to the room.
I think his jealousy with teams skilled players and inability to accept what should of been his new role, two years ago, through today is as damaging to the team as coaches manic personality.
The issue is Schenn is a 3rd line LW and I don’t think anything gets resolved by playing him outside of that role. I think they are far more likely to get better results with Suter between 25 and 81 or even 54. I just think it’s time to run with one of those options and then put the other C between Schenn and hopefully eventually Buch when Neighbours is back. Neither 10 or 89 have any business being in the top 6 currently other than the Neighbours’ injury. You cannot have 1/3 of your top 6 with less than 3 goals each this far into the season
Let's not forget Tarasenko When, 'I wanna be a center, had the same not working hard complaint that splintered the room, before giving up on the playoffs. Never Forget

He's the closest player to play similar to Brian Sutter, he gives 100%, bleeds Blue (I think) and plays "Blues" hockey.
He would be bummed if they traded Schenn though.

He won't be a happy camper if his buddy/mentor is dealt. Slapping the 'C' on him might help a little.theograce wrote: ↑17 Nov 2025 18:22 pmBleeds Oiler Blue. Who cares? Players get drafted by teams they didn’t root for all the time and it doesn’t cause any issues.theograce wrote: ↑17 Nov 2025 18:22 pmBleeds Oiler Blue. Who said it is causing issues? And apparently you care…or you wouldn’t use your time to ask that question. The Average Gatsby wrote: ↑17 Nov 2025 19:15 pmWho cares?
