What is everyone preferred bowl for this year
With it looking like the SEC will get 4-5 teams in the CFP (Texas A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss, Bama, and OU). It will leave the Citrus for one of the 5 that doesn’t make it or Texas or the Vandy/Tennessee winner. This will put Mizzou inside the “SEC Bowl Pool”. Bases on these game, what are people’s preference?
- AutoZone Liberty Bowl vs Big 12
- Duke's Mayo Bowl vs ACC
- ReliaQuest Bowl vs Big Ten or ACC
- TaxAct Texas Bowl vs Big 12
- TaxSlayer Gator Bowl vs ACC
- TransPerfect Music City Bowl vs Big Ten
The Liberty Bowl and Texas Bowl will probably be against Utah or Arizona State which neither seem to exciting. The Music City and Reliquest is looking like it will be either Illinois or Nebraska so those could both be decent from an opponent standpoint. The Tax Slayer and Mayo will be against either SMU, Duke, or Louisville.
My preference would be Music City against Illinois though not fond of an outdoor game in December.

Then you probably wouldn't be fond of the Duke's Mayo Bowl either, an outdoor night game in January (Charlotte NC).rezero wrote: ↑16 Nov 2025 07:35 am With it looking like the SEC will get 4-5 teams in the CFP (Texas A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss, Bama, and OU). Of the bowls you listed, only the Texas Bowl is at an indoor stadium.

pop tart bowl ... fingers crossed!

Went to the Gator bowl once about 10yrs ago when my son was at Tennessee and the weather was nice, so open air stadium in a southern environment would probably be okay for me. Just want a good matchup.

I'd love to play Nebraska and beat the [shirt] out of them!

How about the Poulan Weedeater Independence Bowl?
Seriously there are way too many of them. Sometimes it can be helpful to get the extra practices but they just don't have the appeal that they did many years ago. So many players opt out or go into the portal (see Ohio St last year).

I want to avoid those boring Big 10 teams like Iowa, Minnesota, etc… Chalk me up for playing a team like Miami in Charlotte or Tallahassee.

Apparently it's Dukes or Gator.

Ya never know about weather. Nashville was beautiful last year & three years ago it was in the 40's for the Gasparilla in Tampa. I'd go back to Nashville. Easy drive & fun city although the result of our last trip wasn't fun.
