PSU is one targeting Eli

Post by hdhntr148 »

which would be hilarious as they fired the last guy for doing everything right except beat the Big brands. Which describes Eli as well. Good luck with that dudes.

Reminds me of Dan Akroyds statement about businesses in Ghost Busters. They expect results not just talking about STP or whatever the slogan of the year is. Which you can say about every team that fired their coach this year. You won't win the press conference if your guy is Eli.

IF Eli would leave which I highly doubt methinks many of the Tiger faithful wouldn't be too disappointed after yet another impotent year against the few teams that mattered. But would be another round of G5 HC's or some coordinator as too many bigger brands out there looking.

I don't think it's some kind of magic to get there.

But I do think for a HC it's a process and that Eli is currently in the middle of it.

I'd be very disappointed, to say the least, if Missouri lost him.

Be careful what you wish for.

What Drinkwitz needs to do is get himself an experienced OC and then stay out of his way.

The offense needs some new energy and if indeed Zollers is going to be the guy the next three seasons Moore will be the sacrificial lamb.

Zollers is more talented than Cook or Pribula. That doesn't guarantee anything but Moore with Drink as the head coach may be a square peg round hole scenario.

Hire an experienced coordinator with a lean toward the passing game and get out of the way.

How much would it take to lure Nick Saban out of retirement? I know he’s got the Aflac and Air BNB gigs, but a chance to coach Mizzou!

Bah ha ha thanks for the Laugh! EVERY school says the same thing but the ONLY one he would consider would be LSU and Miss Terry is NOT entertaining offers ever again. He has it made with commentating and his commercials and is enjoying NOT having to recruit and coach every day.

I would be fine with him staying IF he FIRED Kirby and perp walked him out of building with a box of personal stuff in his hands. So far he is FAILING miserably in this front as the playcalling by the hapless Moore was the OPPOSITE of what anyone with a pulse would have called for your baby QB.

This is on Eli! As other programs have already fired their worthless coordinators like Mike Shula at SC who was even worse than Kirby with a much better veteran QB at the helm.

Best case scenario after Kirby stinks up the place and is awful in first quarter he FIRES HIM and has security drag him off sidelines. With him as OC I refuse to watch the games for rest of year but will only tape them. By allowing the obvious incompetence to continue ELI has ruined the season for all tiger fans and he has lost all his credit he had built up.

As upset I am with Moore I still give credit and have faith in Drink.

As I said, it's a learning process for all levels of any sport. Some learn, some don't.

I think Drink is learning and will continue to progress as a HC.

Saban couldn’t get it done at Michigan State, a school much on par with Mizzou.

I attended the 55-7 shellacking the Spartans put on Pinkel’s Tiger squad in East Lansing. It wasn’t pretty. That was about two years exactly after Saban left Michigan State. Saban posted a 34-24-1 record as head coach at Michigan State from 1995-99. If he did that his first five years at Mizzou (Drinkwitz is 50-30 a 0.625 winning percentage, much less that Saban’s 0.585) he’d be booted out very unceremoniously.

Yeah I cant see PSU wanting him, but I hope somebody takes his top #10 salary off Mizzou hands, and gives Mizzou a nice $5 Million buyout check.

I don't think any other school is dumb enough to take on his ridiculous salary, and next year at this time we are talking about him being on the hot seat at Mizzou, next year schedule is brutal and I don't know if Drink survives.

Alex Golesh at USF would be my choice, if another school is actually dumb enough to give Drink top #10 money, and Mizzou another $5 Million.

Franklin was fired for losing back to back games as 20 point favorites, which doesn't describe Drink at all.

Drink has won 20+ straight as a favorite
