Sorry Smelly, you're a 20 watt light bulb.
You're not very bright.
Anybody seen a BluesTalker say that ASOGG was wrong? Ever?

What I have on my side is abundant common sense. Easy to make accurate predictions when you stay true to that line.
Ha. The other day you posted that Kyrou is what you get if you don't have a top-5. I pointed out to you that is incorrect, Tage Thompson was the Blues 1st round pick that summer, Kyrou was picked in the SECOND round. And guess what? KYROU WENT TOP-5 IN THE 2ND ROUND!!!

What? Kyrou wasn't TOP5 in Round 1. Where he was actually picked is immaterial.

Your assertion was incorrect. I proved that with the facts. Kyrou is NOT what the Blues got lacking a top-5 pick, Tage Thompson is the correct answer in this scenario.

That's it, in black and white. You were wrong.

He's certainly not lighting the world on fire with his play at all. The guy has three good games to start the season and gets all this attention and has been pretty much a ghost since then..

Year to date: 4 goals / 2 assists / -3
I wish the kid luck. But the last 14 games he has 1 goal and 1 assist. And is a -4.
And after a good start, Montreal is struggling, only winning 2 of the last 6 games.

a smell of green grass wrote: 14 Nov 2025 10:49 am Some teams trade good players because they need to make room for an NHL-ready young superstar. That's not the Blues. We are trading away players that will create immediate and seemingly-forever "holes". We are only trading them because that's the best trade value that we have.

Some teams trade players because they want out. The Blues have some of those type of players likely.

Some teams trade players because they want to crawl out from under the contract that they created. Past tense, see Kevin Hayes. Future tense, see Buchnevich -- IF WE ARE LUCKY.

Some teams trade good players because they have about 100 good shifts left in the tank. The Blues have many of those type of players.

Some teams trade underperforming players because they need a change of scenery. The Blues need to dump the under-performers so that the FANS GET A CHANGE OF SCENERY.

Some teams trade good young players because they have obscene holes in the lineup that they have to desperately fill after many years of trying. See Bolduc/Mailloux for an example.

So enjoy trade season, Sports Fans. There won't be any happy endings for the Blues after the trade -- UNLESS YOU ENJOY ADDITION THROUGH SUBTRACTION. The Blues don't have any players worth much to other teams. The very best that we can hope for is that Doug Armstrong cuts a deal that makes one or two of his mistakes go away.

1247th verse same as the first.
Other teams make trades and get stars, or get draft picks, or both.

In St Louis, we get Mailloux, or we get the Kevin Hayes treatment. We pay dearly to get him, keep him, and get rid of him.

Thank your GM, folks.
Since it looks like the blues could be drafting high, in the top 5 as of right now, you’re looking for new things to complain about. Gotta make sure you’re starting several stupid threads a day so people pay attention to you, right?
Oh young grasshopper, let me teach you.

What good is a TOP5 pick if the guy doing the picking thinks that Mailloux is ready?

I want a TOP5 pick, and I want somebody who knows what they're doing behind the wheel.
You’re in luck because Alex Steen will be the GM for the next draft bozo. Not that it matters, because even when you get your desired outcomes (team sucks so we’ll draft higher, the guy you hate isn’t the GM anymore) I think we all know you won’t stop annoying everyone here with your dumb [nonsense].

That's the thing - we're all smart enough to read the subtext you're evidently too stupid to see. Nobody here needs to say "ASOGG was wrong" ever, because any time one of us refers to the smell, it's understood that you're the forum idiot.

Keep telling us about your Poop Happens doctorate, though. I'm hoping for your caregivers' sake that you're accident free next week...

I think if the OP just changed his handle to "smells his own farts" it would be far more accurate.

It’s kind of a given isn’t it?
No need really to even say it.
