Trade Rumors and Observations
Some teams trade good players because they need to make room for an NHL-ready young superstar. That's not the Blues. We are trading away players that will create immediate and seemingly-forever "holes". We are only trading them because that's the best trade value that we have.
Some teams trade players because they want out. The Blues have some of those type of players likely.
Some teams trade players because they want to crawl out from under the contract that they created. Past tense, see Kevin Hayes. Future tense, see Buchnevich -- IF WE ARE LUCKY.
Some teams trade good players because they have about 100 good shifts left in the tank. The Blues have many of those type of players.
Some teams trade underperforming players because they need a change of scenery. The Blues need to dump the under-performers so that the FANS GET A CHANGE OF SCENERY.
Some teams trade good young players because they have obscene holes in the lineup that they have to desperately fill after many years of trying. See Bolduc/Mailloux for an example.
So enjoy trade season, Sports Fans. There won't be any happy endings for the Blues after the trade -- UNLESS YOU ENJOY ADDITION THROUGH SUBTRACTION. The Blues don't have any players worth much to other teams. The very best that we can hope for is that Doug Armstrong cuts a deal that makes one or two of his mistakes go away.

In St Louis, we get Mailloux, or we get the Kevin Hayes treatment. We pay dearly to get him, keep him, and get rid of him.
Thank your GM, folks.

Since it looks like the blues could be drafting high, in the top 5 as of right now, you’re looking for new things to complain about. Gotta make sure you’re starting several stupid threads a day so people pay attention to you, right?a smell of green grass wrote: ↑14 Nov 2025 11:43 amOther teams make trades and get stars, or get draft picks, or both.Aesa wrote: ↑14 Nov 2025 11:06 am1247th verse same as the first.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑14 Nov 2025 10:49 am Some teams trade good players because they need to make room for an NHL-ready young superstar. Lol, in another reality Zack Bolduc and his 19 goals were going to land Leo Carlsson. What good is a TOP5 pick if the guy doing the picking thinks that Mailloux is ready?
I want a TOP5 pick, and I want somebody who knows what they're doing behind the wheel.

When will people shut up about Bolduc!
He's certainly not lighting the world on fire with his play at all. The guy has three good games to start the season and gets all this attention and has been pretty much a ghost since then..
Year to date: 4 goals / 2 assists / -3

What I have on my side is abundant common sense. Easy to make accurate predictions when you stay true to that line.

This is common behavior of those that hate that ASOGG is always right. They can't give examples even when ONE EXAMPLE OF ASOGG BEING WRONG would be very helpful.netboy65 wrote: ↑14 Nov 2025 13:07 pmAll of thema smell of green grass wrote: ↑14 Nov 2025 13:05 pmAnybody seen a BluesTalker say that ASOGG was wrong?
