Teams We Don't Match Up With Well (Mostly)

Post by Talkin' Baseball »

Here are the least interesting teams to try to work out a trade with in my view.

Barren farm systems
Arizona Diamondbacks, Atlanta Braves, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Angels, New York Yankees, and San Diego Padres. For the most part, they scrape through their farm systems like a college kid looking in the couch cushions for money, trying to put together enough spare change to buy something.

Not buying
Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, Minnesota Twins, Washington Nationals, and Miami Marlins. These teams are looking for the same types of players that we are.

Teams in our own division
Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, Cincinnati Reds, and Pittsburgh Pirates (though I'd love to try to pry Jared Jones away from them).

The rest of the teams have the will to compete, the farm system or payroll to deal from, and have needs the Cardinals can legitimately talk about filling.
