Been saying this since 2024.

The "re-build" was just a cover story for BDWJr to slash payroll.

This doesn't imply the minor league system wasn't a total wreck pre-C. Bloom hiring, it was and BDWJr/MO are to blame.

But this "re-build" doesn't have to be a complete tear down it's what Dewitt wanted as he saw attendance slipping.

I’m okay with them being gone it’s not like if they keep them they will help them win anything they’ve had them for years already and haven’t won anything with them so them being gone won’t make a difference

Set low goals and fail to achieve.

MLB has Cherrington indicating the Pirates will spend: "but sources estimate it at roughly $30-40 million in payroll for 2026." IF the Pirates can afford $30-$40 M in spending you would think Wallet could at least match. IF not break out the car wash or bake sales.
