Thomas - Olympics
Thomas finished last season in a tear after missing out on 4 Nations. I fully expected that type of play to continue this season and make team Canada. He needed to play that way to make team Canada. I’m sure he is as disappointed and frustrated as all of us fans, but I don’t see him making the team now. Especially considering the seasons that Celebrini and Bedard are having so far.

Re: Thomas - Olympics
I can’t imagine RT is even a talking point anymore. Not only have the younger guys outplayed him by leaps and bounds this year (you mentioned Bedard and Celebrini) but the guys he might have been fighting for those spots with are outplaying him as well (Tage for example). No way he’s still in the conversation.
I wonder if he is still playing hurt. Outside of the EDM game, he’s just not been himself.

Re: Thomas - Olympics
Who would have thought Pius Suter would be leading the team in points halfway through November?
Re: Thomas - Olympics
Tage is American. I think it would be insanity if the American team doesn't take him to the Olympics and leave him off the roster like they did at the 4 nations.Backesdraft wrote: ↑13 Nov 2025 07:40 am I can’t imagine RT is even a talking point anymore. Thomas was competing with similar 2 way playmaking centers - the Suzuki's, Cirelli's and then the young guns & old regards like Tavares. The way Bedard / Celebrini are trending, Thomas is almost guaranteed not to make it.

Re: Thomas - Olympics
Thomas missed out. He was competing with Suzuki and Suzuki is blowing him out of the water this year. The established guys are cemented and there's a crop of youngsters coming along that are killing it too. No Olympics for Thomas.

Re: Thomas - Olympics
You clearly don't know Doug Armstrong.
He WINS BEST without TOP5 picks. Requirement #1 is that every player on the team can be no higher than #15 in the draft.
So yeah. Thomas and Kyrou are still in the running to be in the Olympics.

I don't want ANY Blues player in the Olympics...although, that this point it won't matter because their season will be long over before the Olympics.

Ok, Joey Vitale.... how many Suzuki's and Cirelli's are there?Boomac wrote: ↑13 Nov 2025 08:19 amTage is American. Re: Thomas - Olympics
I thought Thomas would be in, but at this point, no way. Celebrini, bedard, scheifele, and Suzuki as the competition for two spots. Sorry bud. Ya [shirt] the bed.
