Anyone in the STL area catch them last night? They were out from around 8-9. It was an incredibly unusual but great night for our area in that a huge solar flare sent the lights to latitudes that rarely see them.
Supposed to be as good tonight but as I just looked at the data the substorm that is supposed to hit earth might strike during our daylight hours. These forecasts are incredibly difficult so if you have any interest in this stuff pay attention to the North and Northwest sky/horizon after sunset tonight.
For those of you North of STL if your weather cooperated you got a hell of a show last night.
