Yep, game 7 in 1946. Supposedly scored from first on Harry Walker's single, but actually it was a double by Walker. Nevertheless, Slaughter ran through the coach's stop sign at third to give the Cardinals a one-run lead (Red Sox SS Johnny Pesky was accused of freezing and not throwing home in a timely manner). Harry Breechen closed it out in the 9th for his 3rd Series victory. Good times.

However, Hornsby is mentioned consistently. At least every 2-3 months, especially when we are opining about the Cards' Mount Rushmore.
