booh...they're low on Padilla ....
And really low on Bernal...I guess the June through September swoon at the plate outweighed the work behind the plate?
Josh Baez that high? I loved his turn around...but that's Zero to 60 in under 2 seconds....wasn't ranked for a few years, now he's 4th? Incredible.

Re: NEW 11/11 Baseball America Cardinals Top 10 prospects
It's interesting that Jesus Made of the Brewers is the 4th ranked prospect in all of baseball and Padilla is the 10th ranked prospect in his own organization. Same position, same age, also a switch hitter. Maybe he will be (what do I know), but is he all that much better than Padilla?Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑11 Nov 2025 08:30 amThey'll come around on Padilla.craviduce wrote: ↑11 Nov 2025 08:23 amyay!!! Noticed too that Tink Hence is no longer a Top 10 prospect. He has dropped considerably since the injuries. Regarding Franklin , I know two guys that think highly of him .. His college teammate Liam Doyle , Cardinals No. 2 prospect and his coach Tony Vitello at Tenn. too. Of course , neither would be biased right lol , but I do remember how Franklin received a lot of pub his senior year. Think he has a bright future.craviduce wrote: ↑11 Nov 2025 08:23 amyay!!! Joshua Baez cutting his strikeout rate by 40% and increasing his ISO from 2024 while moving up to AA is pretty interesting.

Hoping the Cards can turn Tanner Franklin into our version of Jacob Misiorowski

Re: NEW 11/11 Baseball America Cardinals Top 10 prospects
Hopefully Baez starts at Memphis and replicates what he did past year. If he can replicate last years strikeout/walk rates and still have some solid power, the rest is great with his speed/defensive abilities. Legit 4.5 tool player, imo, and still young.craviduce wrote: ↑11 Nov 2025 08:23 amyay!!! You will find me in Springfield on the weekends they play at Hammons field.
Re: NEW 11/11 Baseball America Cardinals Top 10 prospects
Taking a high school player out of the Northeast is a risk. The baseball seasons are shorter because of weather, and there's less data to go on. Baez was drafted in the 2nd round in 2011 by the Cardinals (as a kid who had just turned 18) out ofmattmitchl44 wrote: ↑11 Nov 2025 08:48 amJoshua Baez cutting his strikeout rate by 40% and increasing his ISO from 2024 while moving up to AA is pretty interesting.
Dexter School in Brookline, MA. He made a slow start as a pro as he was adjusting to playing against a number of
college guys who were older, and longer seasons than he was used to. But in 2025 he broke out playing for Peoria and then being promoted to Springfield. For the season, in 117 games, he smacked 20 home runs and stole 54 bases. Had an OPS of .884. He's a big guy at 6' 3", 220 lbs. No wonder he opened some eyes. Hope his upward curve continues in 2026.
