Kyrou Trade idea in conference
I just had an idea. Wanted to see what the peeps here think
Let preface it first
Dallas has a cap issues after signing Miko Rantenen and dont seem to have enough money to sign Jason Robertson.
My though is make a deal to trade Jordan Kyrou for jason robertson signed. I assume jason wants like 10 or 11. They get kyrou almost same production for 2 to 3 million less. We get a player that has better production and less bull[shirt]. We have cap space esepcially
Thoughts.
texier- 2.1m
joseph- 2.95m
sunny- 1.5m
replace texier with dvorsky
replace joseph with Carbonneau
replace sunny with Bjugstad and bring up Stenberg
lines could be as follows
Robertson Thomas buchnevich
snuggerud dvorsky hollowway
neighbors suter carbonnaue
torpo Bjugstad Schenn/walker

Teams generally don’t make trades of this magnitude within the division. Non starter.Nublues69 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 15:48 pm I just had an idea. Wanted to see what the peeps here think

Look past that please and give me a serious evaluation. It works for both teams one for one. we get slightly better player they get serious cap relief.netboy65 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 15:49 pmTeams generally don’t make trades of this magnitude within the division. I don’t think I wanna pay 2-3 mil more for the same production. I can just put the three mentioned on waivers to send them down or buy the contracts out and bring Kasimaki Stenberg and whoever else to fill the roles. I need more of a game breaker than Robertson.Nublues69 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 15:51 pmLook past that please and give me a serious evaluation. their contracts are all up next year. we have 4.9 in cap so we can accommodate the price diff. Plue we get the kyrou out. and sign robertson for 6 or 7 yearsBacchk29 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 15:59 pmI don’t think I wanna pay 2-3 mil more for the same production. Give me something realistic and we’ll talk
BacChk is right though. Why pay extra for the same production?

Re: Kyrou Trade idea in conference
I would absolutely make that trade from the Blues perspective. Not sure if Dallas would, but you never know. You’re right, the Blues would get the better player, and I say that even though I don’t love Robertson. He can be streaky and looks a little passive at times, but not in the same way as Kyrou. But I think it’s best if Kyrou moves on at this point and that would be a good outcome for the Blues. Robertson is a little younger, bigger, and has put up some big years. Put him with Thomas and he could score 40.

Re: Kyrou Trade idea in conference
I don't think Robertson is a big upgrade over Kyrou in a way that matters. I don't want another soft player even if he scores a bit more than Kryou.
I don't know Robertson that well, but I'm pretty sure that is why Dallas is not signing him as a priority.

First off it’s not the same production. And it’s about the player/person. What they bring/offset. Leadership etc. size/determination. These are core players.
As for Kyrou, his value should be at an all time low. Dallas wants to compete. I’d laugh at that proposal at this point in time.
The entire league has known Kyrou has been available. What does that tell you? It’s like Tarasenko.

they are not signing him as a priority cause they just gave miko 12 million a yeara smell of green grass wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 16:20 pm I don't think Robertson is a big upgrade over Kyrou in a way that matters. I don't want another soft player even if he scores a bit more than Kryou.

Which is my point. Miko was a priority.Nublues69 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 16:22 pmthey are not signing him as a priority cause they just gave miko 12 million a yeara smell of green grass wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 16:20 pm I don't think Robertson is a big upgrade over Kyrou in a way that matters. Can we trade Kryou for Miko?
Re: Kyrou Trade idea in conference
Why do care about Miko? He was picked in the first round at 10th overall. Way past your top 5 Doug Army hate!a smell of green grass wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 16:26 pmWhich is my point. This is nothing like Tarasenko. Tarasenko had multiple significant shoulder injuries that wrecked his shot, was a pending ufa, and publicly asked for a trade.theograce wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 16:20 pmFirst off it’s not the same production. Trading Kyrou now would be like trading Tarasenko before the shoulder injuries.

Of course it is. The blues were trying hard to move him too.The Average Gatsby wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 16:37 pmThis is nothing like Tarasenko. Well sure, if you ignore all the differences then I guess the 2 situations are exactly the same.theograce wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 16:39 pmOf course it is. You’re making “exactly” up. That’s really weird. The league has lots of concerns about kyrou’s future…just like they did Tarasenko’s.The Average Gatsby wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 16:45 pmWell sure, if you ignore all the differences then I guess the 2 situations are exactly the same.theograce wrote: ↑10 Nov 2025 16:39 pmOf course it is. Why do you think Kyrou is a Blue?
