MUCH better effort vs Friday. If not for Johnson on VMI who just went off, we’d have won by 50+.

Not much to complain about. Didn’t defend the 3 very well, but VMI is actually an outstanding 3 point shooting team.

Still short some key guys, including Phillips. Interesting when everyone is healthy who sits and who plays.

Phillips out with an illness. Mitchell leads with 16 pts.
Just curious if he was sick, then why was he on the bench? He appeared fine to me.

Did not see the game but the box score and highlight film shows a lot of improvement and more of a team spirit than games 1&2.

Anyone thinking Missouri is being overlooked in the rankings?

It's early, no one really knows how good teams are. Our first two games were underwhelming, we were better in the second half against VMI. Still a lot of question marks about this team especially since we've had some guys sitting out, hopefully all are healthy for Minnesota. This game should give us a better indication of who we are.

That was exactly my thoughts. 'Illness' where he was on the bench laughing and joking?

Do you have some evidence that you actually did stay at a Holiday Inn Express over the weekend?

A receipt? Or key card?

I didn't see Aaron Rowe on the bench, does he have an eligibility issue or other issue keeping him off the sideline? The antlers, though entertaining went a bit over the top when one of the VMI players was laying on the court, yelling something like blood on court, hit him harder....Don't need to cheer an injury.

Jayden stone could average 20 pts a game for Missouri with a few more minutes a game, I liked what I saw. He has some good passes (assists), rebounds and scoring. It would be nice for a transfer that schooled at a high clip at their previous school to do the same here. Yes, D'Moi Hodge, O'Liney, Jabari Brown, etc did, but you also had Jason Conley, Keion Bell, for some degree Jacob Crews, Amari Davis and Marques Warrick did not. Wasn't Warricks fault, he performed well, just didn't get any minutes for some unknown reason.

I may be in the minority but I think the Antlers are way too often over the line. And unfortunately, too often so without being witty. Going back to when I was a student with this gem on a sign for a CBS game:

Ditto.

I THINK we’re a top 25 caliber team, but with so many question marks personnel wise and our inconsistent defense and ball handling, it’s way too early to know how good we are.

I guess it's a sign of the NIL times that this veteran Missouri team....and I say veteran due to their many guys returning....has been perceived as a 30-35 ranked team by the experts.

I was surprised by that and the mid level ranking within the SEC as well, which falls in line with the national ranking.

I need to see more to say more at this point, but again, I was thinking something different than this.

Nope, just asking why a guy who was scratched for an illness was seen on the bench appearing fine (and has others have pointed out, joking around and laughing)?

I know when I have an illness, I usually go around others and have a good time.
